Posts From December 2010
We’re all evolving– better, braver, more beautiful – every day. So consider the Lash, the durability of design, function, formula, elegance and, of course, the desire to astound: False Lashes debut at M∙A∙C, created to take nature further forward than ever before! The illusion of extensions, made real without anything but a vital new mega-multiplication formula, creating extremities of volume and curl for a dramatic end look, thickening for what we call the “look alive” eye – wide awake, wonderfully well rested, glamorously engorged – applied with the uniquely engineered double-lush brush for the ultimate lash evolution. Nature take note!
MAC False Lashes Mascara ($18) will be available December 26, 2010 (January 11th Internationally)
Lovin’ the tube! I guess this is MAC likes stepping in the realms of interesting mascara from time to time if Haute & Naughty Lash was anything to go by.
Will you buy False Lashes?
And yes this is the same False Lashes from the MAC & Marcel Wanders Collection, how good of you to notice!
There’s still time for online shopping and scoring a nice deal or too to gift friends and family with particularly those who are obsessed with beauty.
If you’re on a beauty budget but your budget doesn’t fit in with a high end makeup cost you can check out my gift guide for scoring the best of the best in the beauty world for quite a great deal.
Getting is always a great part of the Holiday season but giving is even better in my opinion. I absolutely love gifting people in my life with that perfect gift, something that makes them smile, something that comes unexpected, something that they gush over. It’s truly the best gift of all to give a loved one a special present and get a very warm smile or hug in return.
Charity is also a major part of the Holiday Season, although it shouldn’t only be around the Holidays that you are giving to others.
BeautyBloggers.org is a collaborated effort of over 50 different beauty bloggers and brands that wanted to make a meaningful contribution to charity by raising money for Doctors Without Borders.
This organization is committed to bringing quality medical care to people in crisis, regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. They treat rape victims in Papua New Guinea; they make sure women don’t die in childbirth in Pakistan; they helped flood victims in Mexico and earthquake victims in Haiti. They work in 65 countries around the world, and your donation will make an immediate impact. Click here to learn more about MSF.
Beautybloggers.org is a site created exclusively for this charity event which allows you to bid on makeup donated by various brands and some of your fav Beauty Bloggers. Bidders anywhere in the world are welcome and shipping is free. The amount of your winning bid will go to our charity, Doctors Without Borders.
Payments will be collected through a secure page set up with Doctors Without Borders. They accept credit cards and International auction winners may have to use Paypal.
You can bid on makeup items now until Monday, December 20th.
For my auction I donated a lot of MAC Cosmetics. Bobbi Brown has donated an Eye Couture Set, AfroBella has donated a Benefit Glitz Glam & Gloss Set, and many of your other favorite beauty bloggers such as Karla Sugar, Product Girl, and more have donated various makeup items for the cause.
I hope you’ll consider heading onto the site and bidding on an item or two to show your support for our charity.
I dunno how in the mood you are for Apple Pie considering Thanksgiving is far behind us now but if you’re in the mood for a steal and a deal check out the $11 bottle of Philosophy Fresh Baked Apple Pie Shower Gel at Sephora.
It has a sweet, tart crunchy scent of apple laced with hints of cinnamon. It comes across more fruity than foody/bakery to my nose but I love it none the less.
For $11 bucks you can multitask, as always, with it by using it as a Shampoo, Bubble Bath, and Shower Gel. Dontcha just love Philosophy for creating and mastering the all in one formula?
Available now for your stocking stuffer needs at Sephora.
I don’t think there’s anything more annoying than sneezing when I have a lip full of gloss on. OMG so annoying. Lipstick, lipgloss, and a big old sneeze do not go together, it’s just messy to say the least and I end up having to re-do my entire lip look if I sneeze.
So Musings of the Day….
Do you wear makeup when you have a cold? Or even the flu? Some of us do not have the novelty of sitting home on the days we don’t feel well and we have to drag our stuffy noses to work with us…..so do you wear makeup on those days?
