Stila Adventurous in Aspen Travel Palette

What I tell you?

Didn’t I say that Stila is not yet done with the $10 palette? Yes, the Stila Travel Girls are done but $10 palettes are still on the horizon!

Check out the new Sephora Exclusive and the latest budget pick from Stila.

Stila Adventurous in Aspen Travel Palette includes:

Eye Shadows

  • Snow Angel (shimmering heather gray)
  • Icicles (blue)
  • Glisten (shimmering gold)
  • Ajax (black with gold sparkle)

Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream in Rosy (rose pink)

I either lack imagination or I’m spot on when I say the colors, again, are a bit mismatched here. I love Glisten but I’m wondering how I can pair it up with Icicles and Snow Angel……

Regardless, I’ll buy it.

Adventurous in Aspen Travel Palette is available now from Sephora.

Feel free to share your thoughts on this palette, curious how you feel!

This is the first Stila $10 palette that has caught my eye! I love that blue!

  • Catherine

I love putting gold and blue together! It makes such a rich look, you should try it cause i don’t think that the colors are that missmatched

    • the Muse

the gold and the blue are great together catherine however the other shades a bit meh for me.

  • Mary

Ooh! I have this palette, I just got it yesterday, and I love it. I was wondering the same thing; how could i possibly use these colors so that I don’t look ‘interesting’?! But come to find out they go together really nicely, I used tarina taratino’s gold shadow as a base on the lid and then applied glisten on top just to the lid. I then took a blending brush (my sonia kashuk one from target, it’s so soft) and dipped it into glisten, ajax, and icicles concentrating mainly on picking up ajax (it has a hint of gold glimmer that accents nicely with glisten). I put that combination of colors into the crease, focusing mainly on the outer third of the eye. I lined my upper lash line with a mix of ajax and icicles (for a bit more drama, you could apply icicles to the lower waterline), I then used snow angel to highlight the inner corner of my eye and as a brow highlight. The resulting look was pretty FIERCE!!! I love your reviews by the way Muse! 🙂

SWEET mary! that sounds amazing got a pic of that look!??!?!?

Aw shucks thanks darlin’! 😉 hugs!

  • Danielle F.

Swoon! Love the travel palettes! Keep em coming! So collectible and cute. I actually like these colors (at least in theory by looking at this pic!) more than the Fiji one I got recently. My fav so far has to be the BCA one from ULTA. Though, this one looks promising. My only gripe: how about some more diversity with the convertible colors?! Three of them now have a rosy pink color. How about peach, mauve or coral?

  • Promise

ugh. I just feel obligated to buy this. lol I still haven’t gotten Fiji, yet.

  • Carrie

Ooh, thanks for the tip! I love these Stila palettes, although you’re right- the colors on some are a bit mismatched. No worries though, it’s still a great deal!

  • Anne W

I keep thinking the palettes would be a great way to try Stila, but don’t love love any of them. Looks like the Stila Natural Beauty Eye Shadow Palette is on sale at Ulta. Hmm. . .

    • the Muse

hey anne you should prob read one my reviews on these prior to trying as they aren’t a great way to try Stila in my opinion. These palettes don’t really represent the brand well.

  • Julia

LOVE these palettes, but I hate that they keep releasing new ones so frequently! The Moscow and the Tokyo ones only just launched here in Australia (at $25 each as well) so I love being the first to know of new products (courtesy of you, Musy!) and I already have 3 backups of each palette, not including the opened ones that I’m currently using. And I can only buy them from evil-bay. My only gripe with these is that one drop and a shadow just crumbles, so they don’t get included in my travel bag. They are cute, though!

    • the Muse

damn julia that’s costly hun compared to our prices! I agree it’s a bit too quickly on the release they should wait a bit in between!!!!!!!!!! aw thanks ;-D glad you find the posts helpful!

      • Julia

The joys of living in high tax, isolated country with very little makeup competition and Sephora not shipping overseas. MAC is $32 per shadow and a NARS Sheer Glow is $99. The temptation to start an online campaign for Sephora to ship overseas is massive lol

  • breyerchic04

I want them to do a coral and a plum purpley shade of the convertible color in these sets. I don’t care about the shadows too much, I’m good with whatever (the matte brown from the paris set still is my favorite).

  • Fey

Yes! I was never into these Stila palettes, but being from Colorado, this one literally hits home. Thank you so much for posting this. It looks dead gorgeous.

  • Comrade_Garlic

Dear Stila, thanks for not including Kitten in everything lately. But really, the $10 pallets are going to ruin me. I never thought I’d say this but…..Please, up the price! I now own $60 in $10 pallets, really $60 more than I need to spend. Yeah, I want Aspen too.

    • the Muse

lol comrade ;D they really get us don’t they? not $60 in one palette but still splurging 60 on 6 ;-D the irony!

  • Kelly

Did you pick up the Trendsetting in Tokyo palette? If so, can you tell me what’s the difference between Shibuya vs Icicles and “peace sign” vs Ajax? If they’re different enough I might wanna pick this one up! Thanks!

    • the Muse

I haven’t a clue what the differences are at the moment kelly sorry. I haven’t used Tokyo and haven’t yet gotten aspen so it’s hard to compare. sorry 🙁

  • Gia

The black seems out of place to me. These all seem cold weather colors. And when i think winter I think metallic and blued eye shadows and pink lips. I don’t really think black in any look. Maybe i’m just odd. I will pick this up. I have all of the palettes and have only used one. But I feel missing if i don’t have all of them. It’s a sickness.

Just got this one (this is my least fav of what I got, but I liked the CC, the violet, & the gold) along with the Fiji & Moscow ones. Had them shipped to my parent’s, since where I live is sketchy, but I’ll get them tomorrow. I also have the Paris one and although I love the outside of the Urban Outfitter’s one, the inside colors just didn’t do it for me. I would have much rather they put in a dark green for lining and a softer gold, to go with the floral outside.

I always wanted to try the convertible colors, but they were so much $ for something I didn’t know if I’d like and would never use all of. For me, these palettes are a great way to try them, plus they have eye shadows, which I also wanted to try. So far, so good for me, but I didn’t have high expectations either, what with the $10 price tag.

However, I too am in the “what’s with all the blues, how bout some greens, how bout other cheek colors” club. I’m also kind of tired of so many palettes having black for a liner color. Brown is nice and so is olive, plum, grey, green, dark tealy blue… anything but black.

So, I got the Artist’s Inspiration palette when I saw my mom to go shopping. I opened the box in came in from Sephora right in her car, because we we’re going to the mall that has a Sephora store in it and if I was going to return anything, then was the best time. Anyways, I was showing her the palette, she tells me the pink is awful bright (it’s a blush though, who knew?), the green was bright, but pretty, and why did they have to put the black in? “Why couldn’t they put in brown?” she asked, so I guess some of my fashion sense is hereditary. 😀

PS: Mom’s 66 and had dressed cooler and done her makeup better in the last 10-15 years than she ever did her whole life. I taught her everything I know. 😉

      • the Muse

amen auro couldn’t agree more ;-D

It is!? that’s blush!? HA who knew! LOL awwwwww your mum sounds rocking! My mum is 63 and my makeup habits have NEVER worn off on that woman ;D!

  • jenna

i really like this one! so far only tokyo warranted a purchase for me and my only disappointment is that one came with a black shadow as well.

  • Courtney

Just got this today (I LOVE how fast Sephora ships). The shadows were okay, a little muddy but not bad for $10. The convertible color surprised me though. It was more like a gloss than a cream blush. I have the road to radiance palette and the convertible color in that one has a completely different texture. It’s not bad, just not what I expected.

  • Mara

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the colors in this palette exactly the same as that of the exclusive Urban Outfitters palette Floral Chic, the packaging and the names being the only difference?

  • Lara

Thanks for letting me know about this one, love these handy little pallets! I have all of them so far except the BCA from ulta- I waited to long and it sold out. I’m so mad about that and have yet to track one down elsewhere even on ebay!

  • Olivia

do you know how many more of these palettes are coming out?

i know they have the ‘orginial fives’.. but theres like exclusives from
urban outfitters, sephora, ulta :l haha
i’m trying to wait until all the palettes come out before for i buy them
i wish they would have one with peaches/corals but idk if this is it or there’s more
i’ve beeen SO patient ever since they came out with this
idk if i can wait any longer! lolol

but it’s just so hard picking one out just by looking at swatches
    online :[
out of all the palettes, which would you recommend?
like most pigmented.. most unique.. and suchh.
just one or two would be amazing!
you’re an expert on these things so i want to go with your advise :]

thanks so much for the swatches!
