Too Faced Spring 2011

Hey!

Hope everyone is well today and bracing for the oncoming storm of the Holidays. I’ve been a bit swamped around here so I have a back log of comments to get through! Promise to reply shortly.

As the Holidays come to a close, yes they haven’t arrived, but already they are closing….Spring Collections for 2011 will be popping up more and more.

Let’s have a look at the Too Faced Spring 2011 Collection today, it looks promising!

It looks like Too Faced is going the soft romantic look for 2011 which is perfectly a-ok by me. Along with a few base products and new eye primers they are releasing one of my personal favorites, the traditional shadow box collection. This is the fourth reincarnation of the box shadow set and features softer shades for a romantic eye look. It’s probably my favorite piece from their Spring Collection for 2011 and I’m quite excited to indulge.

Too Faced Romantic Eye Classic Beauty Shadow Collection ($35)
Features nine shades of shadow in pearl and matte formulas plus easy to follow, how to cards for achieving three different looks.

This set contains:
Eye Shadows in Soul Mates (pale peach shimmer), Kiss The Bride (matte pale pink), Bouquet Toss (matte pale yellow ivory), I Do (matte taupe), Un-Veil (matte soft black), Cut The Cake (lavender mauve shimmer), First Dance (matte deep purple), Honeymoon (burnished gold shimmer), and Ever After (bronze shimmer)

Too Faced Amazing Face Oil Free Close-Up Coverage Foundation ($36)
An oil-free, skin-smoothing liquid foundation that provides the illusion of airbrushed skin in seconds.

Too Faced Look of Love Set ($45)
A seven-piece collection of spring best sellers in fresh and feminine shades for the eyes, lips, and cheeks.

Includes:

  • Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara
  • Too Faced Look of Love Trio
  • Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Barely Legal
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance
  • Too Faced Primed & Poreless
  • Too Faced Mini Brush
  • Too Faced Zip Pouch

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue Glitter Bonding Eye Shadow Primer ($18)
A glue specifically formulated to lock down eye glitter and enhance its reflective quality.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Candlelight Softly Illuminating Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer ($18)
A versatile eyeshadow primer that imparts a sexy, soft-focused light and a subtle metallic sheen whether worn as a base for color or alone.

Too Faced Glamour Dust ($17)
A loose pigment powder in four sophisticated, shimmering shades.

Shades:

  • Blue Angel (Pale, Ice Blue)
  • Glampire (Plum Brown)
  • Nude Beam (Golden Nude with Silver Sparkle)
  • Pink Fire (Pale Pink with Pink Glitter)

Too Faced Peach Leopard Brightening & Perfecting Bronzer ($28)
A tri-colored bronzer that lightens and brightens the complexion for a warm, tropical glow.

Everything looks stunning but I have my eye on the box of shadow the most. I love the idea of the new shadow primers however I do not love Shadow Insurance because of the greasy formula that separates but I’m still intrigued by the idea of these new primers. I love the Glamour Dust, obviously right?

It looks like a fun line up for Spring!

I saw these on Sephora the other day, I can’t wait until they are instock! I will definitely be purchasing the Shadow Collection!

  • Ru

Do you think they’ll address the seperation issue in these new primers? I find that shaking it a bit before opening for use helps. I am intrigued by the Candlelight Shadow Insurance…

    • the Muse

yup ru. soon as I can grab ’em ;-D I don’t love the idea of shaking before use tbh that’s why I stick with my beloved UDPP ;D

The timing of this Spring announcement is comical to me for two reasons: I happen to be wearing peach leopard today (it was included in the leopard love palette) and I rarely wear it—but I am today. AND we just got struck with a huge snowstorm this weekend so dreaming of spring when winter has just begun…ahhh…

The eye palette looks lovely. I have the Naked Eye Palette and use it frequently. I am totally with the Glamour Dust (reminds me of my TT Sparklicity) and the Glitter Glue.

    • the Muse

I haven’t tried my leopard love palette yet danielle! EEP ;-D You’re so lucky, we only got a bit of snow but not alot, I’d love a whole storm to make it feel more christmas-y!

it really does remind me of TT SParklecity too in a major way!

      • Danielle F.

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Leopard Love!

And regarding the snow, yes it looks like Christmas but driving has been a HUGE pain…but it was fun being “snowed in” and not leaving the house for a whole day on Sunday. Other than that, this snow is a pain—I am dreaming of my Florida vacation in early January–it can’t come soon enough!!!

        • the Muse

I’ve had it for MONTHS and it’s been in the review pile it’s about time to try lol! ;-D aw lucky girl, I hear we might get 18 inches for Sunday! please please please ;-D Florida is sometimes just as cold in January as New York LOL!

Oooh to the primers. It looks like Too Faced is getting in on the primer action like Urban Decay and their Sin, Eden, and Greed primers. I’ll be on the lookout 😛

  • Eve

OMG I wan’t it all! Too Faced is my fav! That foundation bottle is soooo gorgeous! And I’ve been waiting for some new shades of the primer!!!

  • Kelly M

I must have the romantic eye pallette! It also looks less bulky. It doesn’t have the applicators. I have the naked one and I love it =)!

  • Anitacska

Wow, such pretty packaging! Too Faced always gets me with their packaging, I love Enchanted Glamourland so much, it’s so pretty! 🙂 Might get the Romantic Eye palette and that make up bag is just adorable!

  • PeaceLovePanic

I thought I was done with eyeshadow when I got my paws on UD Naked Palette….but no. I NEED this eyeshadow palette…so gorg! BTW muse I picked up their lipstick in Free Love after reading your review and absolutely LOVE! I should prob mention I got UD naked lipstick after your review as well…but holy moly am I in love with Free Love paired with a sparkly smokey eye 🙂

  • Diane

I’m excited for the two Shadow Insurances.
The normal one is my go to primer!

  • Misato-san

I want the primers and also the palette! Love Too Faced… and that set with best selling stuff… if it will hit Italy I’ll get it for sure because the price it’s a deal!

  • Christine

Don’t really like the HUGE EYE too faced always puts on these eyeshadow palette boxes. I want that Look of Love Set though!

  • Paige

Oh my god! The romantic eye shadow palette is so gorgeous! I need to grab it as soon as it comes out! Muse, do you know when this collection would come out?

The two new formulas of Shadow Insurance are also interesting. I think I’ll try them too. From my experience, Shadow Insurance works better for me than UDPP. I am able to blend my eye makeup better when I use TFSI. I heard a lot of people complaining about the separation in TFSI but I’ve been using it for years and I’ve never found mine to separate. Perhaps I live in a cooler climate? After all, I live in the upper East Coast and the part of my room where I keep my cosmetics never gets too hot during the summer.

    • the Muse

paige I suspect sephora will have it in stock very soon ;-D prob after xmas. East Coast here but still experience the separating problem sadly ;( My sis loves it as well but I’m a UDPP girl all the way 😀

  • Ashley B

I so WANT the candlelight shadow insurance!!!! I looks gorgeous. Thank you for sharing ^_^

  • PurpleSaila

The shadow collection and Glampire glamour dust interest me… Thanks for the sneak peek!

  • Andrea

The Romantic Eye Collection looks so beautiful! I’ve never tried Too Faced, but my local Urban Outfitters has the Naked Eye Collection in stock, and I’m always sorely tempted when I stop by. Are these good shadows?

All these spring previews are making me so excited for spring looks, and it’s only December!

    • the Muse

those are quite nice andrea. I’ve done reviews on all the shadow boxes so you can take a peek to see if you’re into ’em ;-D

  • Josephine Tam

I love the eye shadows! The foundation looks nice also, never tried too faced foundation before, I wonder if it’s good. Do you know when these products are releasing?

  • Millicent

OMG I SAW THEM ONLINE!(: but when i went to the store today i couldn’t find the glitter glue and i’m flying back to Singapore on Thursday): i need to get my hands on that glitter glue>.< any idea when they would release it to the stores?

    • the Muse

hi millicent not sure only online as of now hun doubt you’ll find them in store until 2nd week of jan at the earliest 🙁

  • Tigress

I really want the Romantic Eye palette, but right now I can’t justify spending $35 on it, esp since I’ve gone cosmetics crazy lately. Stupid life gets in the way of buying pretty things!

  • Cheryl

I bought the foundation and my search for the perfect foundation for me is finally over. I have normal/dry skin with normal pores. This foundation makes my skin look perfect and poreless. It lasts on me all day and the color warm vanilla is an exact match for me. I really love it! I tried Nars, Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier, Lancome, Rimmel and Clinique and this one just works for me! Yay!!

  • brici

muse have you tried the romantic palette yet? do you have any swatches? i dont know which of the 3 to order =(

  • AndiPanda

I just bought the size queen mascara that is new for spring as well. I haven’t tried it as of yet but I am very excited too.
