Twirl by Kate Spade Review, Photos

Looking for a special Holiday scent for anyone? I always have trouble with this one. Scent is such a personal thing and it’s difficult figuring out what someone will and won’t love no matter how much you keep them in the forefront of your mind when purchasing. I know my own senses take over and I begin selecting scents that would appeal to me and not the person I am gifting.

If you happen to be in the market for a softer, feminine floral you might want to check out Twirl by Kate Spade. I told you about it months ago and really it was all about the name for me at the time since Kate Spade is one my fav designers. I own a few of her more whimiscal purses and bags but none of that follows through in her fragrance. Twirl is more about capturing soft floral notes and bottling them up into a garden bouquet.

Check it!

Possibly one of the first things that will catch your attention with Twirl would be the bottle. It’s an elegant gold capped bottle with golden confetti pieces decorating its base. Simple yet stunning.

Inside you’ll get a full burst of floral notes which include star jasmine, tiare flower, and sweet magnolia. Although the scent also has sweeter, fruiter notes of pink watermelon, blackberry, and even french macaroon (yes the pastry) for the most part you’ll get more of a floral bouquet with a softer musk that ends the blend.

My nose picks up a dominate note of magnolia but you catch faint hints of the red currant which gives it a very slight sweeter edge. The dry down of musk mingles along with the other floral notes to give the fragrance a sensual feel.

Twirl is best suited for evening wear in my opinion but she’s light enough to wear in the day if you prefer. She’s definately full on floral in my opinion so if florals are your thing, this will appeal.

Twirl by Kate Spade is available now at Macys and other department stores as well as online at shop.elizabetharden.com

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
