Cargo Voyages Gloss Collection Review, Swatches, Photos

By Isabella Muse on January 17, 2011 7 Comments

in Cargo, Lipgloss, Spring Collections 2011, Swatches

If you’re not quite ready to give up the Holidays and all those wonderful lipgloss gift sets you see around that time of the year, no worries, embrace the fact that Cargo Spring 2011 is here!

Cargo Voyages Gloss Collection is a set of 5 mini Cargo Lip Glosses in a variety of shades named after exotic locales in the US, Europe, and Asia!

Happy Days!

Check it!

A set of five lipglosses to take you for a trip around the world!

It’s kinda rare to see gloss sets outside of the Holidays which is why Cargo Voyages Gloss Collection makes for a pretty little pick for Spring. The set comes housed in cute little air mail envelope packaging and features five mini Cargo Lipglosses in various shades and finishes. The set is $32 so it ranges out to around $6.40 for a 0.015oz of gloss in each tube.

The set includes (swatches in order of appearance on this list from left to right):

  • Las Vegas (Pearl Beige)
  • Tokyo (Pink)
  • Morocco (Mauve-y Rose)
  • Paris (Baby Pink)
  • Serengeti (Peachy Coral)

The gloss formula runs a little thin but remains colorful and leaves behind a decent sheen of color on lips depending on the shade you use (Las Vegas runs a bit sheer). Formula has decent wear time and each is a nice size to travel with or stash away in a desk drawer or tote bag for easy touch ups throughout the day, the travel size and friendly tropical hues will make them a nice pick for a Spring Break getaway.

$32 is a bit high so a few dollars shaved off the price tag would be welcome. Perhaps $25-$28 range would be more appealing.

  • Anyone seeking a few shades of gloss to travel with this Spring!
  • Those who adore Cargo (Cargo makeup fans will easily find the joy in a gloss set by the brand).

  • Anyone wanting more for less (at $6.40 it’s not entirely inexpensive).

This is a cute set if you’re a Cargo fan or you simply love “travel” inspired makeup selections. The glosses have a decent formula with cute packaging to go along with ’em. I’d definitely appreciate a smaller price tag but per a gloss the price isn’t too, too bad.

Anyone wanting it?

    Hi Muse!

Sorry my question doesn’t have to do with this post. I was wondering if you know when TSV’s on QVC are generally announced? I am hoping it is something from Tarte this Friday. I’m new to QVC and I read your posts on them so I thought you might know.

    Thanks!

    Kelly

I’m not really sure kelly. I normally get emails in advance should a TSV been announced as I’m QVC’s mailing list but aside from that I don’t have any inside info about this but if I get any info I’ll post as always! hope this helps!

I have one such gloss, and i tottally don’t like the fact that it doesn’t smell of anything! And besides, it looked pink it the tube but applies sheer with shimmer…

hey! i like your review, thanks! i just wanted to say though, that this set is 22 at sephora inside jc penney (where i purchased it) if not also at ulta, and cargo’s website! sorry if you had to pay 32, i can see why that would be a con!
