First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads Review

My skin is super dull! Those who suffer from the same skin prob know exactly what I mean. It’s just that lack of glow, that freshness, the look of health…sadly my skin doesn’t have it. I have to rely on a good base product to give me that lively glow that I’m seeking otherwise I’m ghastly to say the least.

I’m always searching for the best best thing to ease the dullness. Could be lack of those 8 glasses of water I’m drinking, too many late nights, or maybe just the weather but I’m definitely always looking for that perfect product to eliminate the problem!

Recently, I came across First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads and decided to give ’em a whirl, hey, this could be the next best product to give me that “glow” I’m seeking.

Let’s check ’em!

A super gentle skin renewal pad that contains lactic and glycolic acids. Cucumber and Indian gooseberry tone your skin while lemon peel and licorice root leave skin bright and glowing.

These are super gentle so if you’re sensitive have no worries about trying them particularly because First Aid Beauty caters to those with sensitive skin and honestly, just testing this out for myself, I can feel that they are pretty darn delicate on my skin. My own skin is dry at the moment with areas of flakiness between my brows and patchy spots on my cheeks, not pretty and this is one reason my skin looks dull. Exfoliation helps in a major way however in between exfoliating I need something to help ease the dullness as honestly, too much scrubbing causes even more dry skin so I stick to a once a week treatment to scrub away dryness, flakes, etc…

These come in a larger jar and have a 60 pad count for $28. I do think it’s a rather decent price for the amount you’re getting as this is two months of usage.

Each pad is saturated quite nicely with the formula so the pads aren’t dry, you get a very nicely saturated pad for each use. They have a very, very subtle fresh scent to my nose but nothing crazy or dramatic. I smooth them on first thing in the AM after my shower and proceed to dress, do my hair, etc…prior to following up with my other AM products as I give the formula a chance to absorb into my skin. They leave my skin feeling a tad tacky at first but as minutes go by my skin feels smoother and hydrated.

After two weeks of use I feel like they have aided in easing the dullness. Results aren’t dramatic and my face isn’t glowing and looking amazing however my face looks considerably better. I’ve taken to using them occasionally in the PM as well when I’m taking a break from my Philosophy pads. They make a great prep for my moisturizer in the morning as well!

I don’t have anything to rant about at the moment to be honest…I’m really enjoying these!

  • Anyone with certain dullness that needs a little extra helping hand to make their skin look more alive.
  • Anyone with sensitive skin that desires a bit of an extra glow (the treatment is super gentle and your skin will have a bit of a glow with continued use).

  • Anyone who wants incredible results (results will vary obviously and in my case I felt they were subtle but enough of a result to warrant a repurchase in my humble opinion).

I liked these alot and felt they were well worth a pick up once I run out. I normally use a mist and a toner prior to my moisturizer in the morning and this eliminates those two steps as this aids my moisturizer to absorb easily. I felt like they eased my dull skin quite a bit as my skin is looking quite lively again!

Likey lots!

Worth a haul in my humblest.

I also have a problem with my skin looking dull since I have slightly dry skin, so I totally get what you mean. My remedy is Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant 🙂 It’s a powder that you add water to and foams up. It’s really mild so you dont have to worry about like over exfoliating. I use it 6 days a week (the 7th I use my regular exfoliator) and I’ve gotten amazing results ;D

I think the weather is wreaking havoc on my combination skin. I ordered these from Sephora a few days ago so I can’t wait to get home to see if my package arrived. Thanks for the review!!

I like Origins Brighter by Nature pads, I feel like they have made my skin a bit brighter.

  • auroragyps

Thanks so much for reviewing these. I’ve been thinking about trying them myself, ever since I saw them. I have oily skin that gets dry patches in the winter, especially between my brows, upper eyelids, and sometimes even my nose.

  • Liza

I also bought them and liked them and have sensitive skin with no reaction using these. Did you put moisturizer on right after using these because one night I didn’t and the next day when I put my makeup on, I had dry spots on my cheeks but that was my fault, lol!

    • the Muse

hi liza…nope I normally follow up with moisturizer after a few ;-D I use them in the AM not PM so haven’t gone to bed and had any probs with dry spots…sorry 🙁

  • Jen

I recently bought these and I haven’t tried them yet but this makes me think I will like them.

  • Courtney

I’m so glad you reviewed these! I’ve been wanting to try them but have been hesitant to purchase them because my skin is so sensitive. I’ll definitely have to try them now. Thanks!

courtney first aid beauty is an entire range suitable for sensitive skin ;D it gets alot of raves for being so delicate so these might do the trick dear!

  • Samantha S

I too unfortunately suffer with the dull, lack of that healthy glow skin we all wish we had! I moved from the US to Canada and my skin hasn’t been the same since… I might have to give these a try!

If you’re still using these right now sephora has them in a kit. It’s $39 for a full size container of these pads, a 6 oz jar of their ultra healing cream (which my friend and i refer to as “skin crack” and their facial cleanser. It’s a really great deal if you need to pick up more. You just may want to hurry, they run out extremely fast and they’re not online. I think this is the first kit that I actually plan on using everything in it.I already have a couple jars of the ultra healing cream because it has a special place in my heart and the facial cleanser is great at taking off makeup. They had another kit with similar things last November and I bought most of them on long island to give out as gifts for my friends.

lol Oh the skin crack, i don’t even know where to start.

Hmm, I have extremely dry skin in the winter (i had to buy a stick of shea butter last winter it was so bad) and this is the only thing that helped.. even the pure shea butter fell short. Now I use it from head to toe.. there are scattered tubs of this stuff all over my apartment. If you don’t lay it on an inch thick it absorbs extremely well. My mother and brother have extremely sensitive skin and my brother is allergic to just about everything.. they both use this on a daily basis. I gave this to my best friend for christmas and she has acne prone skin.. she loves it and it doesnt cause her to break out. It helped with her acne scars and her skin just looks better. I don’t wear foundation or anything like that because I don’t have to anymore because of this stuff.. and I’m extremely fair so any time my skin freaks out.. you can see it a mile away. People are amazed I use this stuff instead of some $100 a jar cream (every time I go to sephora and I go near the company’s section a sales person comes up and I could probably sell it to them.. not the other way around). My grandmother has extremely dry skin.. this saved her skin this winter. It used to crack all year round.. well not anymore. I bought a 12oz for my bathroom for $40 and the rest of my 6oz jars I got in kits. I hope I made my point lol check out other people’s reviews on sephora.

Oh and I believe the kit is called the spring renewal kit so if you havent checked it out.. please take my word on it and at least give it a shot.

Does anyone have a good cheaper alternative to these F.A.B. pads. I really like them but they’re not in my budget

  • Julie

LOVE THESE. I got it in the Fab Faves kit & fell completely in love. My skin can’t survive without them now!

  • cassandra

I had a sample of these, and liked them. Went out and bought the jar and my face is all messed up…from ONE. I have a big pimple forming now as I type. 🙁
