About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. MUSE you are so awesome!!! I’ve been waiting to see this as Wonder Woman is my all time favorite superhero and here it is for me today!! However, i am very disappointed. I like the old school lunch box look of the shadows but it also makes them look very cheap but it might be the e/s colors that i don’t like. The lipglass color is very pretty but again the packaging looks cheap. Maybe i’ll change my mind when we see more pics as they come out.

    • the Muse

tiffany def need to see more pics of it before I decide. kinda yay for me kinda nay so far ;D!

        Hey Muse
Just saw more photos on temptalia and I’m very excited about this collection now!

        • the Muse

me too tiffany ;D looks fab. was talking to christine about it last night!

  • Makeup fan

The last eyeshadow looks similar to the one from the Jeanius collection. What do you think?

  • auroragyps

This looks very Super Friends/Justice League and a bit too cartoony to me. I’m sure they could have done this a bit better. Oh well, fingers crossed. I’ll let my geek gal friends know about it.

      • auroragyps

Mine too, but I wish they had picked something a bit snazzier. I’m a comic geek (just watched the animated Superman/Batman: Apocalypse on Netflix on Sat.), but sometimes I like my girly geekery classy, ya know? 😉 Like a Reeses, they are “two great tastes that go together”, but sometimes it takes a bit of finesse.

have you seen the new Young Justice? it’s pretty awesome it’s on Fridays on Cartoon Network at 8 est/ 7 cdt.

  • sanja skobalj

i like the palette the blue is so pretty! is there anymore info available?

    • the Muse

that’s about the gist of what I have so far sanja but promise more when I know ;D!

  • Laura

Meh… was excited when I first saw the quad but it looks a lot like the Tone Grey quad.

  • Melissa

I ABSOLUTELY love the old school packaging….I’m sure there will be many people complaining about it, but it’s pretty authentic with the wonder woman look! Mac seems to be releasing alot of blues this spring between this and jeanious!

  • Hendrix

I’m not convinced. Has MAC even ever done palettes like that? And the sizing in the gloss photo is so off (‘shoop?) — if the Cyndi gloss is normal size, you’d have trouble not putting WW gloss up your nose with the enormous doe foot.

    • the Muse

hendrix yes they did them with the Hello Kitty Collection, Dame Edna, and a few others. Yup applicator looks very large, I assume it’s a prototype.

      • Hendrix

Guess I was just reeeally hoping this tacky stuff wasn’t the final design, lol. 😛

  • Eve

Waahh! It’s so cute! I’d love that even though I’m more of a Marvel girl myself! 😉

  • clementine

    Ahhh, I’m so torn! I think I like the idea of the packaging but less so in practice. XD;;;

I’m interested to see the rest of the line up, though! So far it’s pretty standard, but on the other hand, Wonder Woman doesn’t have a tremendous color palette, so it’s not too surprising…

  • Telle

    LOVES!!
This must be the big first of the yeat launch for Mac like Hello Kitty and Spring forecast (got invite for special previews and sneak peek purchasing, etc). YAY!!

    Thanks Muse!!

      • telle

        me too!
i like to go in person and swatch….villians was such a huge let down…still some nice pieces but i got way too excited (like i always do). guess that’s a good thing though, helps save some money! 😀

        • the Muse

i didn’t think vv was that bad but some items were a bit meh ;D telle! ugh we just hype ourselves up don’t we?

  • sugar sugar

i want to see the swatches first! xD but everything looks so promising. 🙂

  • Anitacska

I think the packaging is terrible, but if I like the shades, I might indulge.

  • Lissa

I was so looking forward to this launch but those bits aren’t appealing to me at all! I think the packaging looks really cheap and the shades aren’t unique enough for me to want to purchase. But I will wait to see the items in person before deciding, I don’t think you can rely on photos all the time.

  • Storm

These look….like they’re just prototypes. I hope that the e/s palette gets a bit more finesse but I think it is cute and kind of kitschy…I just want better colors…I’m really not feeling that pale blue. There is a lot of potential for great colors in this collection. I’ll wind up buying *something* from this collection no matter what…but I hope it is *something* I will use….

    • Storm

Muse, this lipglass looks much fatter than the MAC promo shots. The promo looks more like the tubes from the Dare to Wear…I was most upset about the lipglass stuff.

      • Storm

Scratch that Muse, I was completely wrong…that is what I get for looking at the stuff with so little sleep!

      • the Muse

I think they intentionally made the lipglass bigger storm 🙂 it seems the products are somehow super sized or “wonder” size 🙂

  • katrosado5

I’m really sorry to say but this collection’s packaging looks like kiddie makeup from the dollar store. ACK. No thanks. Sorry.

  • Fey

Pffft. It would have been cooler if they MAC picked a better patriotic heroine like AMERICAN MAID of “The Tick.”

  • Lauren

    So far…not impressed…. I’ll need to see more pics…. packaging doesn’t look that great…. , looks cheap….

  • my name is not Lolita

umm, no…. I think this would send entirely the wrong message on a date…

  • Kimber

I’m excited about this – thanks for the peek! I imagine I might have to have it all, I like the old school look myself!

  • jen

The gloss looks ok. Beh to the eyeshadow. I’ll prob pass on this collection.

  • Nia

I think this collection is too close to VV, I am not sure I can take another such collaboration. WW is cool and maybe the products are too, but somehow…
And another Deep Truth? Hmm, don’t know.

Is your pulse quicker? Mine isn’t.

  • pamela

wow! muse, you are THE best! i have been waiting to see some photos and YOU got them! i luv the wonder woman photo you have! beautiful! but, i must say, i think that mac has made this collection look cheesey and a little too cheap looking. i sure hope that this is not all there is and that we see some more better looking-more elegantly packaged goodies! i just think that if this is it…well, i will be so dissapointed! mac had the chance to go all WONDERful, and i hope i see more!

    • the Muse

hi pamela thanks hun but these aren’t mine 🙂 they belong to a french blogger….but it’s nice to see you so excited about the collection! I hope it turns into something great ;D!

  • Lucy

Enough with all the blues. I do like the packaging. I’m going to wait to see the swatches.

  • Amy P

This is my most anticipated collection of the year so far, but I have give give this sneak peek a big fat WTF. The kitschy look…I get what they’re doing, but it just comes across as cheap to me. I love comics, but they aren’t an artifact from the 60’s/70’s, they are still happening right now and getting movie adaptations left and right. Wonder Woman recently got a comic book relaunch with a new costume and everything, why can’t this collection reflect a modern superheroine? Hopefully the actual launch looks a bit better, I’m still hopeful 🙂
