Revlon Molten Metal Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches, Photos
Ohh who here has come across the Revlon Heavenly Metal Collection? Likey so much dude! They have three shades of Revlon Molten Metal Eyeshadow Palettes. These palettes feature a duo of baked shadows, seriously, has Revlon ever done baked shadows before? Love! I have such a weakness for baked eyeshadows.
I picked up the Silver/Gold duo and I was kinda left wishing they had better shades available like some sort of bronze, brown combo? But sadly, no dice.
However, the Silver/Gold does the trick.
Let’s check it!
A duo of metallic baked eyeshadows!
They dub ’em Molten Metal for a reason. Shades apply with a liquid metal effect that has intense sparkle, shimmer, and shine on lids. If you’re not a fond fan of sparkle, def avoid as these seriously bring it.
Count me shocked that the formula is so pigmented and applies so well for a drugstore brand. Most drugstore eyeshadow is a sincere disappointment but these deliver intense color pay off in a super nice formula. Those who dislike baked eyeshadows will find these a joy to work with as color does pick up easily and applies just as wonderfully. You can use ’em wet but honestly they already have a cool metallic effect without adding water in so it’s actually unnecessary to bother in my opinion!
Color is smooth and adds a really hardcore sparkle to lids and blends fairly easily as well.
Sadly, hated the duo color selection. Brands love combining silver and gold and I can’t even begin to understand why as I feel they are terribly mismatched.
Color is strong and remains true but even with hardcore prepping they tend to crease a fair bit even under Urban Decay Primer Potion which normally locks my shadow on for all day, 24 hour wearing and tearing!
Color selection is limited and kinda disappointing. The duos are limited edition however more friendly colors or nude, natural shades would have been big time appreciated here, I’d kill for a brown in this formula!
- Anyone seeking a workable baked shadow (I know some folks hate a baked formula but these could change your mind).
- Anyone seeking an inexpensive eyeshadow duo with great color pay off and a sparkling, metallic finish!
- Anyone who loves budget makeup (this is the a great pick).
- Those who dislike sparkle, shimmer, or shine (these deliver all three, intensely).
- Anyone with oily lids (oily and heck even drier lids will have a hard time keeping these from creasing).
Although they crease a bit, I’m still loving them and can cope. The price of $6 and change can’t be beat with this formula and the effect is rather fun although as I mentioned combining with silver and gold is so odd to me, I’d totally dig brown and gold or black and silver…really bad combo in my humblest. Formula is really ace and has a great liquid metal effect. A few downfalls and quirks takes points away but for the most part do so believe they are worth a haul particularly this color variation I picked up as it was the nicest of the three they had.
Likey lots!
Have you seen ’em in your drugstore?
Love ’em?
