About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’ve never been too impressed with the sephora cosmetics line, so I’ll probably skip these. Haha I’m such a skincare snob…I need my philosophy and murad products.

you’re not only cait, def a skincare snob too but this does sound interesting!

It sounds great but I love my Shiseido skincare routine so much I’m scared to change it. I might buy the makeup remover wipes though for workouts.

Hi Neutragirl…just curious, what is your Shiseido routine? I do love their cleanser.

I use the extra gentle cleansing foam and the hydro-nourishing softener and their benefiance concentrated anti wrinkle eye cream. With the cleansing foam I use the Olay skinbrush that’s like the clarisonic. I tried the clarisonic but it actually made me break out. I have had great results with the olay one!

For the most part, I think their makeup is decent. I am not sure about skincare though…I don’t really see them as a skincare company BUT you never know? I’d probably start out with the eye makeup remover…and go from there 🙂

I’m very intrigued by the dual action exfoliater and a couple of the moisturizers. I looked at them when I saw them posted on Sephora’s blog but I’m not ordering any of them yet. It really bugs me that they don’t list ingredients for all of their products!
