Etude House Miss Tangerine Follow Me Tint Tangerine Follower Review, Swatches, Photos

It’s a very exciting time for Etude House Spring 2011 as they have introduced their newest collection, Miss Tangerine, featuring Sandara Park (Dara) as their promo model. I haven’t been this excited about a release from Etude House since their Peach Collection a few seasons ago!

The collection, as you might have guessed, is themed around the orange trend that seems to take hold of us again this Spring/Summer or in the case of Etude House, the tangerine trend!

I, unfortunately, look scary in oranges or tangerines. I can do peach and coral but orange is a no go on my lips (maybe my lids and cheeks but not my lips).

I think Etude House Miss Tangerine takes the trend to a new level making it wearable, sweet, and fun. It’s a youthful, girlish look and not the bolder, harsher edge you see here in the Western market.

I’ll be reviewing pieces from the collection over the course of the next few days!

I hope you’ll enjoy this look into it.

Jump!

Etude House Miss Tangerine Follow Me Tint is a glossy lip balm with SPF 13 that goes on clear but changes to a perfect shade of tangerine on lips!

This isn’t a new product however it is a new shade specially created for the Miss Tangerine release. Since I haven’t reviewed it here before I’ll go into my general thoughts and babble on this particularly shade.

The shade released is Tangerine Follower which is completely wearable for most anyone since it applies subtly, leaves behind a super glossy finish, and a hint of orange-y tangerine on my lips.

Looks scary in the tube, yes, check, for sure however it applies way more lighter. The shade comes across very peachy orange on my lips but nothing dramatic or too bold and vibrant.

The formula is super glossy so it glides on and leaves behind a high shine plus it feels moisturizing and hydrating on my lips while remaining lightweight and comfortable.

And yes, I’m reading your mind here, it does indeed taste like tangerines!

As I mentioned above the product isn’t new as Etude House has a version that was released with the 2NE1 Collection which turns a rosy shade. They are actually re-pimping that shade out along with Tangerine Follower however keeping in the theme of things you’ll probably want to go with the orange shade rather than the rose one eh?

Nothing bad here aside from the fact that it isn’t available in the US so you do have to do a fair bit of hunting around online for a purchase. My friend who lives in Korea was the one that got me my items so if you have friends or family abroad perhaps ask them to get it for you. Don’t quote me but I think it cost me six dollars at the most (don’t have my receipt handy at the moment) however online I’m seeing prices from $12 to $15. I hate the idea of paying such a jacked up price but if I had to, well, I’d def indulge for $12 as it’s a good product. Note, wear time is kinda iffy so you do need a touch up every hour or so but I’m not ranting too much about it since the formula is really glossy and looks gorgeous on my lips! I can cope with a few touch ups!

  • Those who can’t wear the orange trend (this is completely wearable and pretty!).
  • Those wanting a glossy lip balm with a hint of color!

  • Those sensitive to fragrance or taste in their lip products (it’s subtle but if you’re super sensitive you might not love the smell or taste).
  • Those unwilling to shop online and deal with airmail shipping, etc…(this isn’t available in the US).

Overall, Etude House Miss Tangerine Follow Me Tint is adorable and earns a place of honor in my stash. I can easily see myself reaching for this to pair up with a brown smoky eye or even a fun coral/orange look! The shade is utterly wearable for me which adds to its appeal as I can embrace the orange trend without over doing it.

Loves it lots!

Totally Muse Approved.

This is so cute! I wish I could get my hands on it! I’ve been delving into Lioele lately, the packaging is super irresistible and the makeup I’ve tried hasn’t been too bad either. Have you tried Lioele any Muse?
