Hard Candy Fox in a Box Bronzing Duo in Skinny Dipping

Hard Candy Fox in a Box Bronzing Duo kinda reminds you of Benefit Georgia doesn’t it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Hello my name is Hard Candy but I want to be Benefit.

The one color looks muddy and the other too orange. Maybe I’ll be surprised, but so far haven’t been happy with HC’s powders.

LOL exactly what I thought!! (“Hello my name is Hard Candy but I want to be Benefit.”)

Gorgeous! I can’t wait for swatches of this puppy. I hope the colors are flattering and warm. :p

The box looks like it’s from Benefit but the brush is cuter 😉 and Benefit Georgia don’t really show up at all (as a blush), so I imagine this would come out more pigmented since this is a bronzer!

jennifer georgia used to show up much better on me but some reason it now applies subtly ;D! I agree benefit’s box/brush are way nicer ;D!

Love your blog. I’ve been lurking for a while and I always check you and Temptalia before I buy any make-up! Anywhooo…just wanted to let those interested know that UD Naked is in stock at sephora.com!

aw shucks thanks winni! Hugs! love me some Christine too! yay! so happy to hear it ;-D Did you pick it up? I def love welcome matte too ;D!

Yep, picked up a backup. I have the older version with the eyeliners, but I am excited to try the brush. It better be good to justify the higher price and the loss of the eyeliners! Right now I’m dying over the Bobbi Brown Peony/Python palette and set..but I can’t justify the expense right now. So I must just lust.

P.s. I love HC welcome matte and dollface, so I NEED to find this cuz I’m recently blush obsessed!

Hard Candy is like a Benefit – lite.

Just by looking at that brush I can tell it’s going to be scratchy as hell.

The packaging is cute though. I like the flip top better than the box lid of Benefit’s.

I have this cheeky duo (Skinny Dipping) and another in Truth or Dare (which has a sheer matte cool pink Viva Glam Gaga shade and bronze shade is a soft gold). The boxes and pans are very Coralista, except the lids are fliptop and close magnetically. I love them, although like everyone else, I immediately thought of Benefit blush boxes, but I don’t agree that all of their product packaging is Benefit-wannabe. I think their packaging is super cute and for the most part really efficient. I think their packaging is inspired by many many brands (Some Hard Candy powders/bronzers/lipglosses remind me so much of Too-Faced, and I’ve also seen some of their packaging that is Urban Decay-esque). So I really don’t agree that they are *trying too hard* to be any one else’s name, more that they are using packaging inspired by names we already know and love. The brushes are cute and teensy and to clarify, extremely soft. I never use the tools included with any product (does…anyone? lol) so regardless of the bristle texture I won’t ever use them for application. As far as the pigmentation, they are intense colors, matte, and slightly sheer. For a more extreme look, they may be too sheer, but the colors are unique, wearable, and gorgeous! I’ve been looking for cheek colors like these to match some of my lipsticks. Price, packaging, and unique shades are my favorite! Like these <3
