Hello Kitty Pen Pal Eyeliner Review, Swatches, Photos
I’m not much for liquid liner but if I’m going to go that route it might as well be with Hello Kitty to keep me company!
Check out the Hello Kitty Pen Pal Eyeliner!
Was it an 80’s thing to have a Japanese Pen Pal? Seriously, when I was like in the 2nd or 3rd grade my teacher had given us each a pen pal from Japan to write to. Anytime I talk about this most 80’s kids will agree that their teachers did the same damn thing ha!
Why do I suspect there was absolutely no pen pal and that our teachers probably just got us writing to some stranger that didn’t exist to improve our writing skills!
Fishy proof it wasn’t for realz:
- We never got the name of the person we wrote to.
- We never mailed the letters ourselves (they were handed in to our teacher and she “mailed them”).
- We wrote them in English (Japanese children are exceedingly smart but back than I wonder if they could read English at an age of 7 or 8).
- We never got replies!
Yes….fishiness all around here.
Anyway, Hello Kitty Pen Pal Eyeliner got me thinking about that. Can’t help but smile when I recall it.
This in ultra thin felt tip liquid liner that glides on fairly easily sans tugging. It creates a nice precise line if you’re hands aren’t as shaky as mine are. Put a liquid liner in my hands and POOF I get a case of the caffeinated jitters yo!
It sticks around pretty much all day but doesn’t take much to remove (simple soap and water will do it or a good oil based eye makeup remover).
Of course part of the appeal is the cute packaging. This is simple, understated Hello Kitty as it’s a white barrel with a small Hello Kitty image on the cap and “Hello Kitty” spelled out on the bottom half of the pen.
At $16 it’s not the cheapest liquid liner around but it is the cutest.
Available exclusively at www.Sephora.com
Got the fake pen pal woes?
No worries, we’ve all been had, took, and hoodwinked around here with that tall tale of pen pals from across the sea, I feel like my innocence has been robbed, SOB!
