Laura Geller Escape to the Tropics Color Collection Review, Swatches, Photos

Sorry guys little late with my review of the Laura Geller Escape to the Tropics Color Collection but quite fitting as the weather is so very Spring-like today. It was nice pulling this gorgeous kit out of my review pile and indulging in tropical hues and not worrying about how I had to get out my deep sea diving gear to make my way into the snow, wet, and cold! Today we got sun, a brisk cool breeze, and the birds chirping crazily in excitement that maybe, just maybe, Spring might be on the way!

I HOPE you all got your hands on this set but if not, no worries, it’s still available so after the review if you’re wanting it you can indulge!

Check it!

The set includes:

  • Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten in Tropic Hues
  • Laura Geller Dream Creams Lip Palette in Tropic Hues
  • Laura Geller Baked Eye Dreams in Sunset Horizon
  • Laura Geller I-Care waterproof eyeliner in Purple Paradise
  • Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten Baked Powder Foundation
  • Laura Geller Double-Ended Eye Brush
  • Laura Geller Retractable Lip Brush

Obviously all the items are incredible and themed around the tropics. I’m a huge fan of the Tropic Hues Blush-n-Brighten and already own it. This is a beautifully blended blush in shades of golden apricot pink. On darker skin tones you can highlight with this and on lighter you’ll get a fresh burst of warm apricot on cheeks! It’s delicious and oh so lovely for both Spring and Summer.

Also included is a brand new item from Laura in the form of an eyeshadow quad compact. Laura Geller Baked Eye Dreams in Sunset Horizon is made up of a pink, copper, gold, and brown shadow that have a liquid metal finish on eyes. Each shade has a creamy, velvety formula with a beautiful color pay off. The shades all go lovingly with the Tropic Hues Blush included with the set.

Another item included is a new shade selection of Laura Geller Dream Creams Lip Palette in Tropic Hues which includes shades of Sheer Golden Shimmer, Burnished Apricot, Peachy Pink, and Deep Plum. Although I’m not a fond fav of lip palettes I really enjoyed these as they have a whipped yet firm mousse-like texture that glides on beautifully and leaves behind a metallic finish. The colors can be mixed together or worn solo depending on the look you wish to create.

You’ll also get an I-Care Eyeliner Pencil in Purple Paradise. I personally thought the shade was completely out of place with the other colors included and was a bit disappointed. I’d have loved a golden brown or perhaps a gold liner to go along with the “tropical” feel here.

And finally Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten Baked Powder Foundation in your shade choice and two brushes are also included!

The set has to be one of my personal favorites from Laura Geller to date. The colors are very flattering for most skin types and price tag is equally nice for all full size items. I also adore the special gold lame packaging, BLING!

Truly fantastic!

Loves it!

Sadly, I only created a quick look using the products today but I’ll do some more looks soon! Below I used the gold shadow on my lids, Tropic Hues Blush on my cheeks, and two shades from the lip palette on my lips!

Anyone pick the set up?

Love?

Do share it!

It’s still available at www.qvc.com if you’re lemming it!

I like the look of the eye shadow quad, the blush and the lippies. The bronze-gold-pink is pretty 🙂

I received this as a gift for Christmas and I’m really liking it. I was planning to do a review of this myself- I’m still working on it but darn, you beat me to it! 😉

I just did a massive Sephora haul, so I have to abstain from this. Darn my lack of willpower. =[

    A gorgeous look !
    You look blooming today.
Are you wearing the powder foundation?
Do you find powder foundation drying?

How is the balance and brighten? Always wanted to try it, but never actually done so.

Suprisingly, I have been reaching for this set more than others for the last month – so unlike me to wear the same thing over and over! Got the balance in fair, and love it way more than the original (color wise). Also, think it is actually a good stand alone foundation, and that’s coming from a full coverage luvah! The blush rocks, but seriously, why pull out a lip brush just to get a light color on lips…wanted to try those, but kind of hate! Overall and A+ though, and can’t wait to see what the next auto delivery set for April will be!! :0) xoxo

Hey 😀 your skin looks especially lovely in this pic! I’m really considering getting this set. It seems like such an awesome value for great products. Just curious, which shade did you get in the foundation powder? Tan or light? They are very general shades haha
