Laura Geller Vanilla Nudes Color Collection Review, Swatches, Photos
It’s today, it’s today, it’s today! You have less than 10 hours to grab yourself the brand new Laura Geller Vanilla Nudes Color Collection available on QVC today!
I pre-ordered mine a few weeks ago and got it in the mail yesterday. I used it this morning and absolutely adored it.
Let’s check it out!
A six piece selection of full size Laura Geller products featured in a QVC exclusive gift set!
Laura Geller Vanilla Nudes Color Collection is featured as a one time shipment or as an auto delivery which allows you to recieve two more collections like this in different shades over the course of the next few months. I went with auto delivery as 1. I really love Laura’s products and 2. it was a nice little deal at $48 for full size products.
The set includes:
- Laura Geller Balance n Brighten Foundation (Choice of shades)
- Laura Geller Baked Cheek Dream Highlighter & Blush in Neapolitan
- Laura Geller At Long Lash Mascara in Black
- Laura Geller Italian Marble Lipstick in Berry Banana
- Laura Geller Baked Eye Shadow and Eye Rimz in Vanilla Toffee and Black Cherry
- Cookie Tin
Balance n’ Brighten is one of my very favorite products. It evens out skin tone, offers lightweight coverage, and brightens up my complexion leaving behind a flawless finish however I really don’t need more of it. I already own several already from previous sets and I’m disappointed that I’ll be getting two more full sizes of it in the next sets I get. Ugh. Oh well, good swap bait!
The Cheek Dream Highlighter & Blush in Neapolitan is something new for Laura. This is a baked blusher/highlighter/contour powder all in one. I personally stink at highlighting and contouring so I simply swirl my brush in all three shades and buff onto my cheeks. The shade is a softer peachy-pink creation with a subtle kiss of color. It’s not dramatic but leaves behind a more natural finish. The other two shades are a brownish contouring shade and a softer creamy beige for highlighting. I liked the overall product alot and thought it was a nice change from Laura’s normal baked range. I think anyone who collects her baked blushes will find this is a refreshing and welcome change.
The Baked Eye Shadow and Eye Rimz in Vanilla Toffee and Black Cherry is pretty stunning. I lined my eyes thinly this morning with Black Cherry and used Vanilla Toffee all over the lid and crease. Vanilla Toffee is a bronze-y brown shade that works brilliantly with my eyes. It has a high shimmery finish but looks metallic when applied wet.
Laura Geller Italian Marble Lipstick in Berry Banana (love the name) is a shade Kim Kardashian could easily rock. It’s a nude caramel beige with swirls of beige banana that gives my lips a nude mod look. It actually wears well considering I can’t really do nude lippies so well. The formula is highly moisturizing so you get a nice shiny finish and a good deal of pigment along with your lip color.
Laura Geller At Long Lash Mascara in Black is a nice buildable mascara with a thinner curved brush applicator. It grabs lashes well and coats them in an inky formula that lengths and separates well but doesn’t necessarily create a fuller, fatter fringe of lashes.
You also get a dual ended brush which has a smaller slanted brush on one end and a sponge applicator on the other. The sponge applicator is huge, I really liked this for some reason, and can be used to highlight with but I actually used as a shadow applicator ha! I liked the big size, it covered my entire lid in one swipe!
I loved the cookie tin this came in. Call me a packaging whore but I absolutely adore great presentation when it comes to products and this just screamed quality and cuteness! The set also includes a booklet giving instructions to create the look.
Sadly, the Balance n’ Brighten Foundation was a bit wasteful for me and will prove the same for fans of Laura Geller cosmetics as I’m sure you have at least one in your stash if you love her products however everything else included outweighs this one con!
- Those new to Laura Geller (what a delightful way to try her products out for size).
- Those who’ve been wanting some new Laura Geller products and colors to try out (some new additions to her line and new shades make this a nice selection to get).
- Those seeking a nude yet fresh Spring look!
- Those wanting a complete work friendly look that’s easy to apply!
- Those who already own Balance n’ Brighten might feel like the kit is a bust particularly getting so much of it in the auto delivery option (it’ll take me a year to use an entire powder and getting two more in the next few months, well, doubt I’ll use them all!).
Overall, I felt the Laura Geller Vanilla Nudes Color Collection was a great little set. I’m quite happy I purchased it and loved all the shades. I think the set is appealing because it contains some brand new products from Laura that I wanted to try as soon as I seen the promo image. I really love Laura’s baked formula and none of these products disappointed!
Quite a steal and a deal and a perfect selection of colors for Spring!
