Lorac 3-in-1 Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil Review, Photos, Swatches
Lorac has a brand new 3-in-1 Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil available for Spring 2011. The name is kinda misleading because I was thinking oh 3 in 1, multitasking joy! I got to musing about it and assumed it would be a liner, shadow, and…..something else?! 3 in 1? Right?
Well, actually they are talking about the design of the pencil which features a sharpener, the liner, and a smudger. Mmm yeah…ok…confusing or I’m just over thinking this.
Anyway!
The pencil is brand new to the brand and comes in three shades. Considering my love affair with Lorac I was excited about this release.
Let’s see what the word is.
A new eyeliner from Lorac for Spring 2011.
Packaging gets props here as its a gel eyeliner much like MAC Technakohl but it comes with its own built in sharpener so you’ll never be without a precise point. You also get a smudger for blending out your liner.
The shade I tried was Chocolate which was a nice rich shade of brown.
And…
Wow formula needs some serious work.
I was saddened how badly this applied as it tugs a fair bit and leaves behind an unflattering line of color that’s streaky. I had to go over my original line a few times. When I finally had it in place it didn’t look terribly flattering and proceeded to wear away fairly quickly. I applied on my waterline but that too involved alot of tugging and color seemed to blend out causing a case of raccoon eyes.
Sadly, the formula lacks a creaminess that even the most basic of eyeliners have now a days which makes a really bad application experience overall.
- You might like the packaging but who wants to forgo a quality formula for good packaging (hell, I could do without the sharpener so long as I got myself a nice creamy liner in the mix).
- Those wanting a creamy eyeliner that applies with ease.
- Those who want a formula that wears long without causing raccoon eyes or smears in and around the eye area.
I honestly don’t understand what Lorac was thinking when they put this out. It seems like a formula that had little thought or care put into it. I LOVE Lorac and all their offerings but this pencil was just really bad overall.
Sad sigh!
Have you tried?
