NYX Nude on Nude Palette

Mmm NYX channels Urban Decay with their new, bigger, cheaper Nude On Nude Palette.

Check it!

Housing twenty natural shades of shadow plus ten lip colors, the NYX Nude On Nude Palette might be your bag!

At $25 and containing quite a good deal more product than the Urban Decay Naked Palette this might be a tempting little pick for the beauty budgeters out there.

I personally want to try it as I’ve had very great success with some of the NYX palettes.

What do you think?

Hate it when brands mix eyeshadows and lippies in one palette. Alwyas total mess with me when they do so.

        • the Muse

yea sadie 🙁 agreed but at least the lip colors are on the bottom away from the shadows ;D!

          • Marilyn @ Lipgloss and Spandex

I agree with you ladies, but I probably won’t use the lippies anyway, and I’m hoping the eyeshadows still make the palette worth it!

  • Mia

I agree with Sadiie. And I already bought the UP palette AND I already took a look at the dupe from NYX and now they come out with this? meh. I’m good. I really like NYX’s products but I’m good. The UP palette was one of those cult things and I’ll pass on the faux one.

  • Stacie

I am not a nudes fan at all but those types of shades are almost required for certain situations such as work. I will probably purchase because I don’t have many nude shades,I Iove NYX, and I skipped the Naked Palette because most of the shades were shimmery.

    • the Muse

stacie NYX def have considerably less shimmer so this might me the one for you ;D

  • Beth

It just LOOKS cheap. I am totally fine with cheap makeup, fan of W&W here but on a big palette that will be more likely to be “displayed” than a small palette stashed away, I prefer a better look. Plus the lip products are a big turn-off in my opinion. And $25 is a chunk to lose out on if it’s a bad palette.

    Okay. ‘Nuff rambling.

    • the Muse

I’m not a fan of including the lip products in the palette either Beth :-/ I don’t think the design is that bad though. Seems a nice slim line compact…I’ve seen way worst in the budget world ;D!

  • crissy k

Wow, NYX has been coming out with lots of cool things lately. I wonder if this palette is the same size as the UD one. It would be pretty cool to travel with since it has everything.

    • the Muse

hey crissy…looks a bit bigger? but not sure ;-D have you tried any of the new HD items?

  • Raquel

Well, if you buy the Champagne & Caviar and Smokey Eyes palettes (like I did) you’re pretty much stocked with those neutrals… Plus, it doesn’t have those horrible lip things and the palettes are super sleek! I love them!

    (um beijinho de Portugal, Muse!)

  • Aging_Beauty

Well ladies, I’M EXCITED! I chose not to buy UD Naked because everyone said it was “warm”. I copied and enlarged Muse’s pic and this looks much less warm and how great is this for travel?? Even if I never use the lippies (and I do appreciate the fact that they’re in a separate drawer!) I love this just for the eyeshadows. I just may buy this swatch unseen – thank you so much for posting this!

  • shusheshe

It’s looks really really nice, but I’ll probably skip this. I already have UD’s pallette and NYX’s old nude on nude palette. With those two I’m pretty much stocked for nude eyeshadow for at least another 2 years~

  • Jayme

actually this is not a dupe of the urban decay palette. this is based on there nudes palette that had 9 shadows and 2 lippeis (which came out before the urban decay palette and the urban decay one was a knock off of)

also, i do not knwo if you can call it “channeling” urban decay when they are not the first company to have an all nudes palette, nor will they be the last

    • SJG

Considering the packaging is the exact same color, and tries as much to look like it outside as possible, and even uses similar wording…yeah I think you can call it channelling.

Do not want lippies with brush in same palette as shadow, and some of those shades look like they might be a little less “neutral” in person. I’ll pass.

  • emily

This looks right up my alley- I’ve never tried NYX but have been dying to due to seeing them for the first time on your blog. I was always broke when the Naked palette was in stock so never splurged on that either. I think the lip colors look great but notice a lot of people aren’t excited about them- are they known duds or something?

    • the Muse

emily in my experience the lip products with their palettes are kinda hard and aren’t a great texture 🙁 their shadows ROCK but sadly the lippies not so much 😛

  • Tina

I just saw this on their site but I think I’ll pass. I just got Bohemian Rhapsody and I already own so many of their other smaller eyeshadow palettes. Plus I was lucky enough to finally get an UD palette, so I’m am very ok for the next 10 years on shadows. lol

    • the Muse

ha tina girl that never stopped me ;-D I have so many dupes of everything it’s surreal but I buy more anyway *head desk*

  • Jen

Nice! I have not tried NYX eyeshadows yet. But I have a lot of these colors already :/ I Have UD’s naked palette and a bunch of other neutrals.

  • Musebeliever

    I like it but…
Well first even if I am on a budget, I’d rather save and support UD as they do not test on animals and stuff and because that kind of brands are the ones that push MU research.
Second this looks too bulky for me. And third this REALLY looks like a copy of naked palette so if I bought this (which would be impossible… Living in France can be hard sometimes. T.T) I would huge stocks of nude eyeshadows.

  • Adora

The lip colours all lok gross! The shadow looks OK but since I so rarely wear nudes Id be better off with Urban Decay’s Naked as I feel Id get more use out of it. Has anyone else noticed that their seems to be more than one of some of the shades in the palette, or something very similar? Please? We dont need almost identical shades to create great looks, just a decent blending brush! xxx

  • vivavoomz

I don’t like eyeshadow and lip gloss together in one palette because usually they give dry waxy lip gloss.. But if these lip glosses are the same as the NYX lip gloss palettes they released, it’s actually not that bad. Those are creamy.

  • Caroline

I like this. Actually don’t is wonderful, but i wanna *-*

  • Sandra JT

I actually own this palette and seeing as there are so many negative comments on the lip palette in the drawer of this product – no idea why – I thought I’d lay some of those negative comments to rest.

The eye shadows in NO WAY get into the glosses. Not even a little bit. They’re in a completely separate drawer and the shadows are far less fragile and dusty than UD Naked palette, which I also have and can’t stand compared to this product.

The glosses are also a very decent texture. They’ve hot no flavor or smell to them and there are actually quite a lot if great colors. How somebody can just look at them and call them ‘gross’ is beyond me.

The shadows in this palette are also soooo much better to work with than the ones in UD Naked. These have minimal fallout compared to the Naked shadows. And I absolutely HATE the glitter bomb fallout from Naked.

I personally like this palette a great deal more than UD Naked, which is so stupidly overrated it’s ridiculous. Don’t even get me started on UD Primer Potion, which comes with the Naked palette. Total rubbish. Too Faced Shadow Insurance is far better than UD Primer Potion, any day of the week. I’ve tested them side by side and Too Faced wins, hands down.

  • Angelica

I just want to ask, anyone got both the UD and the NYX? Is the NYX just as good?
