When I was growing up three toys dominated my collection, Strawberry Shortcake, Rose Petal, and Sweet Secrets. My sister is considerably older and worked at Toys ‘R Us in her teen years thus I bugged her non stop for accessories for my three favorite toys.
As I grow older I fondly look back on my youth when makeup and bath and body crosses into the realms of these beloved favorite toys. Too Faced brought back the Smurfs, MAC continues to bring back favorites like Wonder Woman and Disney characters, and many other brands are embracing both nostalgic and popular iconic characters from both my youth and contemporary pop culture.
Cake Beauty takes a trip down memory lane with its new Strawberry Shortcake Berry Decadent Collection!

Sorry guys little late with my review of the Laura Geller Escape to the Tropics Color Collection but quite fitting as the weather is so very Spring-like today. It was nice pulling this gorgeous kit out of my review pile and indulging in tropical hues and not worrying about how I had to get out my deep sea diving gear to make my way into the snow, wet, and cold! Today we got sun, a brisk cool breeze, and the birds chirping crazily in excitement that maybe, just maybe, Spring might be on the way!
I HOPE you all got your hands on this set but if not, no worries, it’s still available so after the review if you’re wanting it you can indulge!

I’m one for purchasing obscure, unique fragrances. I love hunting around e-tailers, or Etsy, and other small shops to discover new and interesting fragrances to try out.
Tokyo Milk is one my favorite Indie brands that has a range of fun fragrances you might want to try out if you’re bored with the normal scents available at your local counters.

Feminine care products are something I whisper about. I don’t technically discuss it with anyone, I don’t go to the drugstore and ask where I can find them, and I definitely hide them under the bread when I’m at the supermarket purchasing them.
It’s not a case of being embarrassed because I am woman, hear me RAWR but I’m kind of a private person so I’m normally not one for flashing around these items.
It’s Voldemort-like in a kinda “Product who must not be named” way.
That’s why I’m not sure I want to flash around or store anything in my bathroom that has a big splashed label on the front that reads “I Love My Muff”.

Dude, totally snatched up the Tokidoki Bellina Blush last week! I simply couldn’t resist. I really loved the print of the Siberia Compact but the colors are kinda a blah mix of bronze and pink, no likey at all so I grabbed up Skate Girl which is a matte and shimmering shade of warm peach, loves!
I was quite excited for this release since outside of the recent Robbery Palette they don’t have any blushes. Wah! But wicked news with this release as we get two shades of fabulous blush, can we have more though?
I’d indulge!

Spring is in the air dears with the new Hard Candy Collection for Spring 2011 popping up at your local Walmart. Some of the selections look like great budget beauty picks for the warmer weather. With new blushes, primers, glosses, and even a concealer…there’s a nice line up to get hyped over.
Let’s take a peek!

Sorry been really remiss with comments and have alot to get through but I promise to do them soon! It’s just a really busy time at my office so I’m having a hard time keeping up with my work life, my real life, and my blog life this month.
Hopefully my next review on the new Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection Palette I picked up will make up for my lack of communication lately!
I picked up all three of these new palettes that feature eight shades of eyeshadow for what, I think six bucks each ($5.99 if you’re technical). So far my favorite of the lot I selected was definitely Comfort Zone as it has some nice shades of brown and my favorite shades of green.

I make no secret of my love for The Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Brightening Powder however it proves a bit of a pain in the arse to find stateside. The Skin Food is a rather wonderful brand sold in Korea and other Asian countries but locating it online and proceeding to go through the hassle of jacked up pricing, airmail, etc…to get it can be tiresome for some. I’m lucky enough to have friends in Korea who indulge my makeup junkie nature and grab me items however I’m always looking for possible dupes of products that do the same thing and can be found locally for readers of Musings.
Sonia Barely There Loose Powder Makeup Colorless Matte is quickly turning into a fond fav of mine so much so that I feel comfortable recommending it as an alternative if you’re unable to get your hands on Salmon Dark Circle Brightening Powder.

My skin is pretty dull so I’m always looking for various ways to keep it bright eyed and bushy tailed. A lilac base or primer is always a great way to get your skin looking whiter, fresher, and brighter however it also can be easily over done. The Asian market embraces lilac in alot of various base products to brighten and whiten skin however you don’t see a ton of them here in the US.
I was quite interested to see the Fusion Beauty Prime Results Primers which contained a lilac, brightening primer that had me excited to give it a whirl. The collection also features three other primers to combat acne, redness, and an anti-wrinkle formula as well. I got the chance to try out the Brightening Primer which interested me the most.
Let’s check it out!
