Tony Moly Baby Doll Pot Concealer Review, Swatches, Photos
Tony Moly is a Korean brand that makes a range of color cosmetics and skincare. I recently got a package from a friend who lives in Korea that included Tony Moly Baby Doll Pot Concealer, obviously she knows my obsession with concealers well!
I generally like Asian concealers since many of them have a highly emollient formula which blends like butter. I was eager to try out this concealer in the hopes I’d have great results.
Let’s take a look!
A concealer from Korean brand, Tony Moly.
This comes in a tiny pot with good reason, the formula is highly pigmented. I got shade two which is a lighter shade of beige with a bit of orange-y beige to it. I was a little wary of the color but it actually does well at brightening my eyes up while concealing darkness, finer lines, and puff. I blame the orange-y beige as it seems to have a knack for diminishing darkness easily.
Formula is rich and pretty heavy but can easily be applied sparsely for a light coverage that conceals well due to the pigmented formula. It’s quite emollient and has a hydrating finish that doesn’t cake, crease, or fade. When set correctly I can easily get all day wear from this.
I felt like the texture was comparable to some of Bobbi Brown’s own concealers but a tad on the heavier side of that.
The pot packaging might not appeal to those conscious of bacteria and germs.
Since it’s not sold in the US it will prove a chore tracking down online however I think it’s worth it.
- Those with dark circles, fine lines, or puffiness that needs concealing.
- Those that like a heavier, richer concealer.
- Those who want a more lightweight texture (this is quite rich).
- Those seeking to use this on their face (I personally wouldn’t use it on my face as it’s on the heavier side so you might want to stick to concealing eyes).
- Those unwilling to shop or order products online from International sellers.
This wasn’t one of the best concealers I’ve tried from Asia but it is a great one none the less. It does the job at concealing darkness well and leaves behind a flawless look plus the long wear is a bonus. I liked it alot overall and probably would re-purchase when I’m done with this pot. Although tiny it’ll last fairly long due to the pigmented formula which allows a tiny dab to conceal most problems in a snap. You probably don’t need it if you already own some Bobbi Brown concealers but if you’ve always wanted to try one of Bobbi’s but couldn’t justify the price this is around $12 or so dollars on E-bay shops and online.
Likey!
