Avril Lavigne Forbidden Rose Review
Who even knew that Avril Lavigne had her own fragrance? I must living under a rock.
When I got my hands on the bottle recently it kinda reminded me of a goth-y, Emily the Strange type fragrance you could buy at Hot Topic as the bottle has a black rose topper and the perfume is purple. I like the bottle alot, totally appeals to my inner goth.
How’s the fragrance?

Surprisingly good! I’m normally not a fond fan of celebrity fragrances as most aren’t all that good but I actually like Forbidden Rose.
I think I like the blend so much because of the woody notes that give the fragrance a warm, masculine edge. It kinda wraps you up in a boyfriend’s well worn shirt scent or at least that’s the vibe I get from it.
The fruity, floral notes can easily be picked apart at first mist and you’ll get notes of red apple and peach with strong notes of white lotus that morph the scent into a fruity floral concoction prior to its unique dry down. The scent begins with sparkling fruity notes but warms down to a base of vanilla and sweet praline with a strong woody undertone that emerges as the scent matures on your skin.
The scent is an unique, enchanting fragrance that reminds me of a warm hug from a beloved other.
The fragrance comes in shower gel, body lotion, spray deodorant and, of course, eau de parfum. I’ve only tried out the Eau de Parfum and enjoyed the throw and linger so it isn’t completely necessary to layer with this but nice to have other options available in the same scent.
Count me surprised, this was quite a nice fragrance.
Anyone sniff it?
