Guerlain Rouge Automatique

Guerlain Rouge Automatique is the brand’s brand new hydrating, long-lasting lipcolor.

The new lipstick features a single hand push to reveal the luxurious color housed inside, a lipstick without a cap that creates a simple yet elegant packaging design.

Let’s take a look!

Guerlain Rouge Automatique a formulation that acts as a second skin with sensory oils and waxes that offer different fusion points to gradually liquefy during application depending on your lips temperature. The result is a soft sensory film that becomes like one’s own skin offering a comfortable formula that isn’t oily or thick.

The formula also features exceptional shine and a stay-put, feather-proof color thanks to oil and resin that act to accentuate shine and hold it.

25 Shades are available broken up into four shade categories.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. USD 35 in the US… I can’t imagine how much it will cost in Asia… Sigh…

Yet the promise of lipstick melting on application, being second skin etc really tempts me…

  • Larie

The packaging looks a little gimmicky (with that push-up tab thing), which is weird, because normally I love Guerlain’s packaging. Luckily, I do not heart lip products – they scare me – so I will pretend it’s just sheer willpower that keeps me from yet another purchase 😉 Go me!

  • Amy

When I saw this, I instantly thought of the Bonne Bell lipbalms in the same packaging. 🙂

  • Aimee

I wonder if the packaging allows for closure on the lipstick or if it’s just exposed to the elements.. because I see some serious problems with that (especially, say, in the purse).

    • the Muse

it closes off aimee, slides in and the a cap slides over the tube. it’s just “capless” as in no cap to fumble on and it off, slides up and out, and down and in when you’re done.

  • electronicfly

But won’t the lippies get dirty easily in the bag, if there’s no cap?

    • the Muse

they flick closed electronicfly, no cap but there is a slide that covers the lipstick when not in use. it slides up and out and down and out of the way when not in use.
