mark Ibiza Sol Marbleized Lip Glosses Review Swatches
Are you beauty budget Summer surfing already? Trying to locate the most bang for your beauty buck without overspending because you wanna splurge on a nice Summer vacation to the Jersey Shore with Snooki.
Horror!
Imagine if that was true?
God help us all.
I’m spending part of my Spring and hopefully part of my Summer with RJ Berger, if I have to watch MTV for entertainment value, I choose the geek not the orange one.
Tuck into mark Ibiza Sol Marbleized Lip Glosses for nine bucks so you have some extra change to spend on a slice and a soda for Snooki.
Jump!
Three shades of a new gloss from mark introduced with their Summer 2011 Collection, Ibiza Sol.
Why yes, you’re right in experiencing a little nostalgia here as these do indeed remind me of the MAC Marblelized Lipglasses released with the Colour Craft Collection.
But I think these are way prettier and of course cheaper!
Each gloss is made up of a cream and a shimmer shade in a swirled marble design. I can sit here and stare at them for literally hours as the design is pretty fascinating and one wonders just how they get that composition to fit so perfectly into the tube. Gorgeous!
The formula applies pretty sheer but can be built up decently. Rather than leaving behind pigment it enhances my natural lip color and really pops when lipstain is applied prior to the actual gloss. They don’t have crazy shine but just the right amount of gleam to keep a girl happy. The applicator doesn’t pick product up so well so a little pumping action is required to get things flowing. It applies a bit drier but as you build you’ll see a more hydrating finish.
The gloss is available in three shades which include:
- Bonita Pink (Creamy Pink and Shimmering Golden Rosy Red)
- Hola! Bronze (Dusky Rose Cream and Dirty Gold Bronze Shimmer)
- Chica Coral (Creamy Peach and Golden Shimmering Pink)
Although the formula contains a cream there isn’t anything opaque about the finish thanks to the shimmer in the mix.
(Left to Right: Bonita Pink, Hola Bronze, Chica Coral)
Wear time varies and at the most you’re looking at two hours of wear before they fade off into the great beyond.
The drier texture isn’t particularly pleasant but if you pump the wand a few times and get some extra coats on you’ll be golden!
- Beauty budget shoppers!
- Those who loved MAC’s Marblelized Lipglasses (long gone but not forgotten? relive them with mark’s version!).
- Gloss addicts (these are a nice addition to any stash because of the interesting design and pretty shades).
- Those interested in a high shine gloss.
- Those wanting a super pigmented gloss (these run a bit sheer).
They aren’t the best gloss I’ve tried in my beauty day but they are a nice one particularly if you’re looking for a budget Summer lipgloss. The shades are actually really nice and come alive even more so with a hint of stain. The price tag isn’t too bad either at $9. Mark fans will enjoy these without a doubt.
Quite a likey!
I suggest checking out Hola! Bronze, it’s rather pretty and unique!
