Pixi Lumi Lux Radiance Powder Review, Swatches, Photos

Pixi has a new Radiance Powder that I can squeal over this Spring. Remember the Pixi Lumi Luxe Bronzer Palette I loved so much last year?

This is a follow up palette in the same vein but not a bronzer, a highlighter!

Let’s take a peek!

A silky palette of all-over illuminating powder that provides a fresh radiance to face, cheeks, eyes, and décolleté!

Ok, ok, I admit it, I’m in love with the design. You’re groaning and rolling your eyes aren’t you? You know you love it too!

The palette is identical to the bronzer’s design. It’s a slide out drawer which features a longer, rectangle pressed powder with lovely full bloomed Spring roses! So pretty right? To remove the powder you simply pull forward on the ribbon and it’ll slide out completely (or half way out, whichever you please). The work area is extremely large so you can brush, buff, and dust to your heart’s content with the larger working space.

The powder itself is made up of a dominate shade of creamy, peachy beige with touches of rose. It’s not terribly pigmented but fair skinned ladies will find it works as both a highlighter a blusher where as medium fair and darker will think it best suited as a highlighter.

I’m no grand expert at highlighting and in most cases I come out of these situations looking a little too glittery, story of my life people hehe! But this has more of a frosty smooth finish rather than sparkle or shimmer that many powders of this kind embrace. I used a tiny bit on my brown bone, down the sides of my nose, and on my upper cheeks. It’s barely noticeable but you can see a nice gleam of color that gives my skin a little glow!

Those obsessed with highlighters and highlighting will not only enjoy the actual powder but the lovely little design!

It’s $26 dollars, ouchie! But you’re looking at a whooping 0.53 oz of powder which accounts for the price!

The design doesn’t wear completely away but the details outlining the rose do after a few uses! Sad sigh!

  • Anyone who loves highlighting powders!
  • Ladies with fairer skin that want a highlighting powder that acts as a blush!
  • Anyone looking to add a touch of a glow to cheeks and face!

  • Anyone who simply has one too many pretty highlighting powders (haha like me!).
  • Anyone who wants a highlighter that doubles up as a blush (it won’t work as a blush sadly if your tone doesn’t run extra fair).

I won’t lie, I love it for the design alone! It’s a cute little powder that is now happily keeping company with the bronzer that I love so much from Pixi!

I’m not sure if this will be available at Target for Spring (I’m making the big assumption it will be) but you can get it now at www.pixibeauty.com if you simply can’t wait for that to happen!

I’mma pass on this one :-/ … I bought last year’s fairy palette, and ended up throwing it away, it was that bad. Didn’t show up (and I’m fair complected), and I actually had to scrape the product to get anything to pick up. Epic fail :-(.

Not trying to hate on the product, but when it comes from Target and they don’t accept returns, the price is very steep for a throwaway.
