The Body Shop at Sephora

Beauty News of the Day….

The Body Shop is now at Sephora!

Seriously, you can buy all your fav Body Shop products at www.Sephora.com as of today!

“Were thrilled to offer our customers greater access to our products,” said Phil Kowalczyk, President of the Americas for The Body Shop. “For some time now our customers have told us they want more ways to shop The Body Shop. We currently have just under 300 boutiques across the U.S. A good number, but the U.S is a big country and there are customers who love our products but just dont have ease of access to them. We believe The Body Shop products are a natural fit for Sephoras clientele: women who care about high quality, high performing beauty products. Were confident this is a winning partnership thats both, great news for our customers and great news for Sephora clients. “

Starting today The Body Shop will begin debuting a selection of its mini Body Butter Collection and an assortment of exclusive products and kits at Sephora.com and as of March 2nd you’ll find these products in over 170 Sephora store locations!

“The demand for natural and ethical beauty products by beauty consumers has been growing rapidly,” said Margarita Arriagada, Sephoras SVP of Merchandising. “We are excited to offer our clients exclusive products from The Body Shop, a brand that brings with it tremendous authority and credibility in this space.”

The following items will be available at select Sephora stores and online at Sephora.com.

  • The Body Shop Body Butter
  • The Body Shop Shower Gel
  • The Body Shop Shower Cream
  • The Body Shop DeoDry Dry-Effect Deodorants
  • The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Set

  • The Body Shop Vitamin C Facial Radiance Kit
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Daily Face Regime Kit

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. This would be a big let-down if it happened in Canadian stores. We have a The Body Shop everywhere! I’d rather see a brand like Illamasqua (which Sephora won’t ship to Canada!)

  • MandyB

Is the Body Shop not that big in the States? I live in a city of ~250,000 in Canada and we have 3 or 4 locations. Sadly my nearest Sephora is 600 km away. Hopefully they’re able to expand on that list of Sephora offered products. Their chamomile eye make-up remover is the best!

    • the Muse

Mandy we have a ton of body shops stores here as well. I guess they just wanted to branch out by offering product in Sephora 🙂

  • Cj

Wow I’ve never even heard of the body shop lol but there’s definitely some nice stuff 🙂

  • LorraineER

That’s pretty cool. We have Bath & Bodyworks around but no Body Shop for some reason. I really enjoyed Body Shop before I moved here and have been kinda bummed that there aren’t any closeby. Interesting partnership!

    • the Muse

ha lorraine perfect for you hun than as u can ship it at Sephora now ;D!

  • Annabella Freeman

I can understand why they have done this to get more exposure. We have two Body Shops a stones throw from in each in Nottingham which is overkill. We need Bath & Body Works!

  • lara / the glossarie.

i am definitely with you, muse. this is a weird one for me? i associate them as two totally different types of companies and i love visiting the body shop because it’s different from sephora. kudos to them for wanting to get their products out to more people, it just compromises their boutique-iness for me, i guess.

    • the Muse

lara it’s really strange isn’t it? the idea of walking into sephora and see TBS products, I can’t really imagine it ;-D!

Well on the bright side, now you can buy The Body Shop products and earn points at sephora. I wonder if they will accept the Love Your Body card.

    • the Muse

mmm I doubt it Julianne prob would be to complicated to keep track of the points at Sephora.

  • Kel

I prefer to buy the products in The Body Shop store. It’s such a cute little store and I feel like it’s not crowded the way that Sephora is. Shopping in Sephora makes me feel like a squirrel in a field full of hawks. They don’t keep their eyes off you.

    • the Muse

lol kel! I agree about Sephora but I also feel TBS employees are annoying and keep asking can I help you, have you tried this, have you tried that, etc…so I’m actually more comfortable in Sephora as they do watch you like a hawk but at least they are jumping on you about this product and that one and proceeding to mist you and slather it on, etc…BBW is also notorious for that behavior!

  • Alyson

Two of my favorite things in one! If Sephora started selling LUSH and Mac I’d just set a tent up inside the store and live there.

  • SJG

whaaaaaa?? Is the Body Shop in trouble or something? I agree with Lara, this is just weird. Although I keep forgetting L’oreal owns them now so it’s really not as weird as it seems. As far as TBS employees, they’re either one extreme or the other – following you around or else barely aware you walked in the store.

    • the Muse

naa I doubt it SJG just branching out ;-D TRUE!!!!!! I’ve walked into shops where they don’t even lift their head ha!

  • Pattie

That is so random… I totally dont see sephora as a place that sells body shop items. Sephora tends to sell products that are not available as a individual store. I would see body shop as sephora’ competitor.. I wonder if sephora will offer body shop deals, since they have so many deals year round.

    • the Muse

hey pattie yup they already have deals and kits available it seems. if you take a look at the link I enclosed you’ll see they bundled up body butters, skincare, etc…so it’s some nice sets they have ;-D

  • Kate

I almost squeed out loud. There goes the rest of my day at work, I’m going to be surfing the collection.

However, *ahem* Mr.Kowalczyk more people might be buying your products that don’t have access to your boutiques if you shipped USPS from bodyshop.com and stopped charging certain states extra to ship. (Like Sephora, where I’ve spent all of my luxury beauty dollars for the past two years).

  • Wiwin

In the mall nearest to my house, the Body Shop store is right across the Sephora store. It’d be just weird to have TBS products in that Sephora. And I agree with one of the commenters above, it’s so much nicer in TBS store, much less crowded and cute, colorful, uniform packaging throughout the store!

  • kali

Wow! No wonder.. I saw a travel size of one of their Body Butters at the checkout line at Sephora the other day. I was really confused! At least you can get your BI points though.. but I’ll probably still visit The Body Shop since I like the atmosphere there.

  • Annie

Actually, 2 weeks ago I noticed a mini body butter at Sephora. I couldn’t resist buying it because 1. MINI!, and 2. it’s one of the few Body Shop scents I like (Satsuma).

It does seem weird to me, though! They should bring back Bourjois and introduce Soap & Glory, it’d fare better if you ask me …

    • the Muse

amen annie! I’d kill for BP to be brought back and wouldn’t mind Soap and Glory either ;-D!

  • sara jo

I like getting them from the body shop. Besides the specials they offer that I doubt Sephora with have, like everyone else the store is nicer. The employees at the Sephora I go to are great but I’ve been to another one and they were not that great. But for those who don’t care about that or who always shop online and want the points this is great.

  • Dusty

Hate the Body Shop. Their products are overscented and the smell gives me a headache.

  • Raecelle

This is weird and amusing at the same time. At my mall, The Body Shop is three stores down from Sephora. Not sure if every Sephora stores is offering TBS product, since some mall have both stores. But I guess most people would probably pick up more of TBS products if they’re at a Sephora than they would at TBS. My poor TBS in my mall looks so lonely sometimes, which is great for me: NO CROWDS! 😀
