The Skin Food Banana Yogurt Mask Review

The Skin Food Banana Yogurt Mask is meant for soothing sensitive skin but I find it’s a treat to tuck in my fridge and smooth on after a stressful day!

Check it!

A moisturizing yogurt mask with banana extract that soothes sensitive skin and provides nutrition and luster, keeping skin hydrated.

This is one of my fav masks from Skin Food. It smells like crushed up bananas and has a runny texture. The first time I tried it I thought it was way too runny for a yogurt mask but I don’t mind the texture much anymore as it means I can stretch a tub really far.

Although it’s meant for sensitive skin my dry skin takes to it just fine. I smear a thick layer on when I’m wanting to a deep moisturizing treatment or a thinner layer for days my skin isn’t in need of as much moisture. I normally sit around 20 minutes with it on my face and proceed to wet a wash cloth with really hot water and lay it over my face to remove the mask.

It doesn’t ease dullness or make my skin bright but it does a fine job of hydrating which is exactly what it’s meant for.

No bad hear unless you account for the fact that it’s only available in Korea and select Asian countries so a little online sleuthing and shopping is in order to grab it!

  • Those with redness or sensitive skin that needs a little TLC.
  • Those with dry skin in need of some extra moisture.

  • Those who aren’t keen on dealing with airmail and online shopping!

It’s not the best mask that Skin Food makes but I like it for days my skin needs a little extra hydration. The smell is very pleasant (I’m tempted to taste it ha), the tub is huge so you can get a few uses out of it, and the effects are very soothing and hydrating, what more could you want from a mask?

Lovely!

The Skin Food’s Singaporean site ships worldwide however do your research prior to purchasing as prices are considerably more expensive than the original Korean retail.

One thing I found is common in skinfood products, they don’t really work for wrinkles , pigmentation, or other stuff that they claim. But their products are very soothing and gentle and all they do is bring a bit of moisturization. I tried a few of their mask, skinfood products all smell so great and the packagings are all so cute, but there’s nothing really special just moisturize a bit…

My favorite’s still their black sugar mask thing 🙂 It smells like dishwashing liquid, but it works great 😀

    • the Muse

the black sugar is pretty nice krys but haven’t gotten the dish washing smell from it ha!

  • regina

Thanks for this – now. I just ordered it from my favorite eBay seller. Along with some etude tangerine goodies. I love to hate your skinfood and asian line reviews. The range of items I don’t own is endless and this mask sounds perfect for my current skin issues.

I got a good chuckle out of this product because I have a major aversion to the scent of bananas. Bummer, since they are supposed to be so good for your skin.

    • the Muse

really susan? ;-D my best friend is like that, he can’t stand the smell, says it makes him gag, so weird as I love the scent and the taste ;D!

  • Andrea

I purchased my first TSF product because of you my darling Muse! 😀
I was wondering which one is better : this banana mask or the papaya one?

    • the Muse

both are excellent arale ;-D I noticed the papaya is a bit more moisturizing than the banana though ;-D hope it helps!

I’ve been contemplating whether or not to purchase this mask for the past year now. Thanks to this post, I’ll probably get it. It will be my first purchase from Skin Food. 🙂
