Beauty Discovery: Rain Cosmetics Raindrop All Natural Lip Therapy Review
Imma love me some funky cool packaging!
Rain Cosmetics has this brilliant little RainDrop All Natural Lip Therapy that comes housed in a tear drop (or rain drop if you will) shaped packaging. My inner kid is running around getting all excited about the packaging.
And dude, it kinda tastes like car air freshener….but in a good way. Is that weird? ’67 Impala air freshener smell. My cousin had a Monte Carlo when I was growing up aka pimp mobile. And all I can remember about that car (I was probably five at the time or so) is the fact that it smelled like coconuts and had some major Playboy accessories going on like lock buttons with the Playboy Bunny on them….wow….
I dunno what happened but he’s bald now with three beautiful children whom I adore, I guess the Playboy angle didn’t work out.
Warning: There are minor references and fan girl moments after the jump that bring Rain into the discussion. And not the kind that comes from nature.
A hydrating, healing lip balm.
I admit it, the packaging got me. This is a wee, ickle little tear drop shaped balm or if you turn it at the right angle it kinda resembles a claw, RAwwR!
Cap unscrews, careful there it’s pointy, to reveal a shimmering pearl white lip balm. The texture is pretty hard packed but a little warm up on my lips and it comes across melty and shiny. I’ve been using it for a few months now and really like it. It gives lips a little sparkle but most importantly keeps them hydrated and actually treats chapped lips pretty well or at least I thought so.
And yes, I was completely serious about the air freshener remark. It kinda tastes like a coconut car air freshener or at least what one smells like as I haven’t recently gone around licking car air fresheners if you’re curious. The taste won’t be for everyone but I’ve somehow become terribly addicted to it, lip crack on a major scale here.
On the outer box they’ve printed, “Not a Toy, Keep Away from Children” they prob should change it to read “Keep Away from Muse” less she eat the damn thing.
Yum!
Not the most conventional lip product out there due to the fact it’s on a jar and needs to be handled with fingers sadly!
- Anyone that loves interesting little beauty products.
- Those wanting a balm that makes lips look fuller.
- Those wanting a balm to hydrate dry, cracked lips!
- Those who are sensitive to flavor or scented lip products.
Novelty of the packaging draws me in but the actual lip balm is quite nice. Flavor might not be everyone’s cuppa but I enjoyed it. Loving the fact that it made my lips fuller and smoother plus seems to handle chapped lips well.
Likey lots!
Not Muse Approved due to the strange taste that may NOT quite be for everyone but it’s worth a try out if you’re a beauty adventurous.
Available for $14 from www.raincosmetics.com in three shades.
And yeah, for the Asian fan girls out there (hello, I’m one!) , I was having an entire “Rain on me experience” when I discovered this brand!
