Clean Summer Escape Eau de Parfum Review

What are you adding to your Summer fragrance wardrobe this year?

So far I have a list that includes Jo Malone Sakura, Coach Summer Edition, Philosophy Summer Grace, and a refill of Annick Goutal Le Mimosa.

Another one to add to your list, Clean Summer Escape! This is one of two new fragrances for Summer from Clean that features fresh, light notes for the warm weather ahead.

Let’s take a look!

If you favor more fresher notes Clean Summer Escape will be just the thing for you.

The opening note for me was a crunchy cool cucumber, it’s a very fresh note that comes through clearly at first spritz however what I’m actually smelling is Beach Grass, very much cucumber-like to my nose! As the scent begins to dry down water lily and summer peony creep in for a subtle kiss of floral. These floral notes are in no way cloying or heavy, they remain very fresh and crisp thanks to the opening notes which keep things very cool and light. As the fragrance dies down you’ll get a soft wave of Cotton Blossom that’s both refreshing and comforting.

The scent is very clean (as per its namesake eh?) yet refreshingly crisp and cool. It’s very much an ideal scent for Summer and has a nice linger with a decent throw that will have those around you asking what it is you are wearing.

Quite loving this one!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
