Lola Universal Colorless Powder Review

I dunno how many of you are in the market for a new transparent powder after seeing Ashley Judd’s mishap this morning but Lola Universal Colorless Powder released recently with an anti-aging formula.

Let’s take a look!

A skin brightening, anti-aging transparent powder.

I’m not too big on powder be it loose or pressed unless my skin is feeling oily which hey, that’s rare but I do like a bit of transparent powder under my eyes to set concealer. I purchased Lola Universal Colorless Powder on a pure whim since I was down to the last of MAC’s version and I thought it was appealing that Lola’s version promises skin brightening benefits and ant-aging ones.

There isn’t much special here aside from those promises but I imagine you have to use the powder really long term to experience any anti-aging benefits it may have. My skin isn’t brighter either however….

The powder itself is quite good. It’s a finely milled, transparent powder but like I said nothing too special that any other brand offers nowadays from MAC to MUFE. The powder is super lightweight and works a treat on both your face and/or under your eyes. I used it a bit on my face but for the most part stuck to setting my concealer with it, under my eyes. It brightens my under eye up nicely and allows my concealer to remain in place for a longer amount of time.

The powder comes housed in Lola’s traditional red compact design in a ball shape with a powder puff for application. Some may find the packaging darling, like me, total packaging whore here however some might feel…

That the better deal is with other brands since Lola’s version is 0.31 oz for $30 and other brands such as MUFE offer the same price tag but with more product (0.35 oz).

  • Anyone looking for a finely milled, lightweight transparent powder to set makeup and concealer.
  • Those that love the idea of a transparent powder with anti-aging benefits.

  • Those wanting the best bang for their buck (this isn’t the cheapest option around).

I’m happy with the purchase but can’t really say there’s anything special here to get super hyped over. I love the idea of a transparent powder that has anti-aging benefits but sadly, I can’t actually speak or see those results so who knows if they are working without long term use?

I’d probably buy it again because the powder felt silkier than other brands I’ve tried however the higher price tag may prevent product junkies from bothering when they can get more product for the same price tag.

I admit, I adore the packaging and just really like Lola’s offerings in general so count me bias.

Love it?

Leave it?
