NYX Fly With Me Mascara Review

I wasn’t awfully impressed with the NYX Propel My Eyes Mascara. Anyone try it? Thoughts?

Released along with it was NYX’s Fly With Me Mascara, which of course has me wanting to break out into Sinatra! Gotta add that to my Arlene Grocery’s karaoke list, that’ll go over big ha!

Let’s take a look at NYX Fly With Me Mascara!

A lengthening mascara with a lightweight formula!

Well, unlike Propel My Lashes, Fly With Me has me excited! I likey!

This a jet black mascara with an interesting baseball bat applicator. The applicator has a thinner, straight line that curves around into a ball shape towards the top, kinda like a baseball bat or a club of some sort.

Applicator is a bit unusual and perhaps unique as I don’t believe I own or have seen any mascara that sport one like this. What does it actually do is the question.

Hmmm it’s kinda hard to say but it seems the shorter end lengthens lashes and that curved ball seems to bring them up and outward for a curled effect. I like the way it works but describing it proves challenging. It really does the trick at lengthening lashes yet not so much so that you end up with a spidery mess or a two separated look. It successfully lengthens as it adds a certain thickness to lashes.

The formula is incredibly lightweight so it doesn’t make lashes stiff or crunchy plus it builds all friendly-like as well. If you have smaller lashes you’ll love the lighter formula that allows lashes to look longer but doesn’t weight them down so your curl will have a longer wear. Those with longer lashes will find the mascara adds even more length and creates a nice fuller fringe.

Nothing bad here, I really enjoyed this one!

    • Those with shorter lashes who need a lightweight, lengthening mascara!
    • Those who want buildable mascara that doesn’t leave lashes stiff or crunchy.
    • Those who want longer lashes without having them look too separated.

      • Nothing not to like here!

Overall, NYX Fly With Me Mascara gets a special spot in my makeup drawer particularly for Summer when I want something lightweight that makes my lashes longer and fuller but doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a ton of gooey mascara. The formula’s lightweight texture is very appealing and makes the mascara a pleasure to use and I how well it lengthens without making my lashes look too far apart…!

      Quite Muse Approved for purchase!

      I liked this one alot!

Good morning Muse. Most mascaras smudge on me & it drives me crazy. Did you have any smudging issues with this?

            • the Muse

mmm might run Colleen, my eyes are try. gonna say the lightweight formula may not smudge though. have you primed and proceeded to powder the area after?

              • Colleen

I havent powdered. I’ll definitely give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion:)

Just bought this and have it on for the first time today. No smudges yet and the formula is ligtweight. No crunchiness here. The wand is very unusal but does a nice job of fanning out the outer lashes.

The brush looks almost EXACTLY like Buxom Buxom Lash. That’s prob my FAV mascara right now, it replaces my long time HG Diorshow! With Buxom Lash, the formula was lightweight as well and no matter howbmany layers, there’s no clumping. From your review this sounds pretty similar. I’m due for a new tube of Buxom Lash, looks like I may need to get this too to compare!

Does that have fibers in the formula? I tried the Doll Lash mascara once and i couldn’t stand those fibers….they got on my upper waterline and scratched against my eyes. I don’t want to buy this one if it is like that too.

Hey Muse! I understand that MJ mascara is your HQ mascara. How does Fly Away With Me by Nyx compare?

Wow. 13 dollars is a scary price tag for Nyx O_O.
