Benefit Cosmetics B. Right Ultra Radiance Facial Re-Hydrating Mist Review

Yeah, so, it was a mystery what happened to Benefit Cosmetics B. Right Ultra Radiance Facial Re-Hydrating Mist recently when the B. Right Skincare Collection made its launch.

This was one product I was personally excited about and so were many of you but the collection launched and the mist was no where to be found.

Where did it go? Was it not being released? Had disappeared? Were the people at Benefit keeping it all for themselves?

Possibly keeping it all for themselves because it rocks.

Check it!

A refreshing, moisturizing mist to to hydrate skin and keep it fresh!

Ahhh so the mystery is that the Benefit Cosmetics B. Right Ultra Radiance Facial Re-Hydrating Mist is actually being released in July…smart, very smart. Why smart?

The formula is incredibly refreshing and lightweight enough to use as a moisturizer of sorts and a prep prior to makeup, can you say perfect Summer beauty pick?

I’ve been using it for the past few days and it’s rather brilliant. At the moment my skin is pretty damn dry but in the Summer when I start getting oily I need something lightweight to moisturize my face, this is an ideal solution for those times. Although facial mists are available from various brands I felt this one topped the line since it has an hydrating feel as you spritz. The formula feels a bit heavier than a typical water-y mist and has a slippery, moisturizing feel that quickly absorbs and leaves face feeling softer.

If you have oily skin and need a little lightweight moisture in the Summer this is ideal to use as a prep prior to makeup and if you’re skin is drier you can use this to prep prior to moisturizer. The formula contains sodium hyaluronate which is a powerful agent that’s supposedly capable of holding up to 1000 times its weight in water.

The formula is very soothing and has a fresh scent, can’t quite put my finger on it but it smells cucumber-ish. This is a surprise considering how heavily fragranced the rest of the B. Right Collection was but I’m quite happy about it as I don’t think I’d like a facial mist that was too powerfully scented.

At $26 it weights in at 4.5 oz where as a Shu Uemura Mist would set you back $25 for 5 oz. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I thought the size comparison would be helpful. I personally use Shu’s version and will say that Benefit’s version is far superior in terms of hydration.

The price shouldn’t be a problem for those who already indulge in Shu’s version already but some may find it a bit off putting.

  • Anyone who needs a lightweight way to moisture their face (if your skin is oily you can skip moisturizer and a spritz or two of this will give you all the hydration you need).
  • Those who want a moisturizing mist for Summer that won’t leave their skin greasy or oily but just smoother and softer.
  • Those who really like facial mists but desire one that has a thicker formula with a hydrating finish!
  • Those wanting to skip moisturizer and just apply a TM (tinted moisturizer) and go (this is perfect for a quickie makeup look sans alot of product usage).
  • Those who like Shu Deep Sea Mists (this way better!)

  • Those who aren’t keen on paying near $30 for a facial mist!

Overall, B. Right Ultra Radiance Facial Re-Hydrating Mist proves a superior player in the facial mist world. Facial mists are fabulous but not alot can boast the power of great hydration, this delivers just that and will make an ideal pick for lightweight hydration in the Summer!

I like this one alot and recommend it as a pick up come July!

Muse Approved for the win!

Good Stuff!

Ohh, this sounds good for a minimalist like myself. I don’t usually wear anything on my face because it drives me crazy. Even relatively thin moisturizers. I may have to give this a shot regardless of the price tag. I have combo skin so it’d be really nice for me.

I’ve been so impressed with the B.right range, I really can’t wait to try this! 😀

Hey Muse :)! Glad to see you back, I checked on benefits site and this is actually available to purchase right now 😀 Out of the 2 sample sets I got the only thing I really liked was the eye cream but a hydrating mist sounds divine!

    • the Muse

cj really! YES! that’s brilliant! Going to buy one. I need back up for a trip I’m talking ;-D yay! eye cream I’m still on the fence about, pretty ok but not the best :-/

      • Cj

I haven’t tried many eyecreams but the few I did were always way to thick and left my undereyes kinda greasy. The benefit one was just enough for me and absorbed fairly quickly 🙂 I’ve since then got the new Mac vibrancy eye which I am so inlove with it’s not even funny lol

        • the Muse

hey cj! I’ve been testing vibrancy ;-D haven’t really decided what I think yet on that one ;-D but kinda growing on me…!!!! Agreed, many are very thick and do more bad than good :-/

        • Tammie

Ohhh I’m interested in the eye cream, I have the same problems 😡

  • Leah

This sounds great, but it would be better with some SPF. I love me some SPF lol

    • the Muse

hey leah 🙂 I never seen a mist with SPF girl..that would be unique 🙂

  • lexi

    • the Muse

I just got the little sampler with 2 moisturizers and the facial scrub and I LOVE it so far…so going to purchase the full size versions when I run out. I love the bottles/packaging SO MUCH lol. Even the sample size ones I purchased are glass (minus the scrub). Love it.
