Boscia BB Cream SPF 27 PA++

Japanese brand, Boscia, brought the second BB Cream release to the US market late last week. With the introduction of BB Creams incoming to the Western Market you’re bound to see quite a few from your favorite brands popping up in the next few months.

Like many of you I’ve expressed both joy and concern about BB releases in the US. I think we all love the idea of easily getting BB Creams at our fav stores and counters however we also worry that the formulas will change from the traditional Asian BB Creams we all know and love.

So far, I was terribly disappointed in Dr. Jart’s attempt…!

Let’s take a pick at the new Boscia BB Cream and see what it offers.

This an oil-free formulation that helps diminish the appearance of pores, fine lines, and uneven skin tone while providing long-wearing coverage that conceals imperfections.

Some of the key benefits of the formula include:

  • Abyssine, a naturally-derived survival molecule, shields and soothes skin.
  • Hydroxyprolisilane promotes skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines.
  • Beta-Glucan provides essential moisture and protects against environmental damage.
  • Jojoba Leaf, a powerful antioxidant, combats free radical damage while it nourishes and protects skin to prevent premature aging, and Willowherb, a unique anti-irritant, helps to calm skin inflammation and reduce visible redness and irritation.

So far it appears this is a more low calorie BB Cream that sticks to offering sun protection with some preventive ant-aging measures thrown in.

It is self-adjusting and a universally flattering shade for sheerer coverage. The self-adjusting shade remains to be seen but it’s a step above one of Dr. Jart’s releases with is a cooler shade that did not adjust accordingly nor did it promise to. So far it appears this is a more low calorie BB Cream that sticks to offering sun protection with some preventive ant-aging measures thrown in. The sheer coverage may not be appealing to those who like BB Creams since most have a very pigmented formula and offer flawless coverage.

It’s available now at www.bosciaskincare.com for $38.

I’ll be reviewing it for you shortly.

Feel free to share your thoughts if you tried it already!

Right?! I feel that dark girls and pale girls get the shaft all the time from makeup companies. Sigh.

They had me at “reduce visible redness.” My rosacea hates the summertime, so it’ll be nice to have SPF protection that’s kind to it. Every moisturizer with SPF I’ve tried makes it flare up.

  • Emilie

I love Boscia so I’ll have to try out their version. I’ll just wait for it to appear on Sephora so I can tack it on the Dr. Jart Water Fuse one. Muse, have you tried that one? It’s supposedly more yellow than the other one, they have.

    • the Muse

Emilie review upcoming on it today…not yellow at all, creamy fair…

  • Rachel

I’m on the fence. I tried (and returned Dr. Jart—it was nothing like the BB creams I love); Boscia’s BB is better imo. But, I…I’m not sure what to think. For $38 I want to be blown away. I am looking forward to your review, Muse!

    • the Muse

hey rachel! Dr Jart was very disappointing to me 🙁 I’m eager to try out boscia’s!

  • GreenTea

Looks promising and the packaging is pleasing to the eye! I’ve never tried BB Creams before, but I’d love to make this one my first. Thanks again, Muse! <3

  • Saara

I haven’t tried a BB cream before, but your reviews are really helpful! I was thinking of giving Missha M a go but its a little expensive on ebay! Do you know of any reputable site which sells it and ships to the UK at a reasonable price?

    • the Muse

saara you can try the Missha US site…not sure if they ship worldwide though.
