Cake Beauty Strawberry Shortcake Decadent Bath & Shower Suds Review
I’m still rather piss-y that Cake Beauty didn’t release the Strawberry Shortcake Collection in the states. Le sign.
I hold a grudge for a while, beware!
Canadians can still take advantage of the Limited Edition Collection which is an ode to childhood days of old and features a best loved doll, Strawberry Shortcake!
I’ve already reviewed a few other pieces in the collection but forgot that the Cake Beauty Strawberry Shortcake Decadent Bath & Shower Suds has had a prominent place of honor in my shower for the past several weeks!
If you remember Strawberry Shortcake you remember she smelled of all good things girly. Vanilla, White Cake, Strawberries, Whipped Topping…and plastic….
Cake Beauty captured the memory and spirit of her scent beautifully in this shower gel! The gel comes packaged in a white bottle and features Strawberry Shortcake’s sweet face on it. As a child of the 80’s I can totally appreciate and dig all over this.
They capture the scent very accurately in all the products I tried so far from the collection. It’s a dominate note of strawberries but you also get faint hints of white cake, vanilla, and whipped cream plus they somehow swirl in that strange plastic scent that the actual doll had…weird? Possibly but it makes me think way back to days of old! Loves it!
The actual shower gel lathers up nicely and dare I say the scent lingers quite long on my skin. If you aren’t keen about smelling like your favorite childhood doll do be aware prior to use. I used it on my hair too, I like living dangerously.
All in all, the collection was such a win for me and brought back some fond memories however I really do wish the selection was available in the US as I had to rely on a very kind reader to get these products for me.
If you have friends or family in Canada I highly suggest grabbing this for yourself as it’s too good to pass up and it’s only around for a limited time.
Anyone haul it?
