Cheap Thrills with Sephora Glossy Gloss

What’s up with Sephora going so cheap on their makeup line lately?

Hey, better not complain though eh?

Sephora Glossy Gloss looks interestin’ and pssst cheap, keep it on the down low k?

These little babies are $10 bucks each and promise a shiny, wet finish. Me likey! I have a big love affair with Too Faced Mirror, Mirror Lipgloss as you know so I’m wondering if these might have a similiar formula as they are available in a HUGE array of shades where as Mirror, Mirror is not!

The glosses also feature HydroGrape Complex and other ingredients that provide lips with moisture and antioxidants.

Shades:

  • Clear (clear)
  • Royal Icing (clear with white and silver shimmer)
  • Precious Pink (very sheer pink with iridescent shimmer)
  • Maple Syrup (sheer pink beige with iridescent shimmer)

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Interesting, I may have to try these some time!

I’m glad to hear you like Too Faced Mirror Mirror gloss so much, since last night I bought Damn, I’m Hot at Nordstrom Rack for about $6. I am going to try it on in a sec and if I like it I might pick up Envy Me (I think is what it’s called) or just another of the same.

But yeah, there weren’t many color options and 1/2 of them I didn’t want!

tammie do share what you think, it’s my fav gloss, so ooeey goeey and shiny ;D! LOVE!

I just put it on and it’s lovely! Not to gooey, very shiny, nice scent (cherry is easy to mess up and make mediciney), nice light tint.

Now the question, stock up on this color or get Envy Me which is scary dark purple in the tube lol.

I have Rock Candy, Cocktail on the Beach, Confectionery, and Marquisette (just to give proper props, my 5-year-old picked out the Marquisette).

I am a fan of glosses in general, and love nothing more than a slightly oily, yummy tasting, funtastic colored gloss. IMO, these meet the goal.

First off, I love the taste. If I ever actually get a date I might consider kissing someone with this gloss on. It’s good.

Consistency: Wonderful. It’s a mite on the sticky side but (and I know this, man) it’s a gloss. Wadda ya gonna do.

The way the colors blend yet stay true is mighty mighty, oh Muse. Cocktail on the Beach is especially dreamy – orange but not ORANGE. And I can’t really flash orange, so this one’s special. It’s a must-have summer gloss!

Confectionery – What a great pink! It’s bright but not gaudy, shiny without glitter. I have Lipstick Queen’s Black Tie Optional lipstick en route in the post right now and I think this gloss is going to go perfect over that. Or solo. 😉

A word about the Marquisette: So excellent! I leave it to my kid to ‘pick a winner’ more and more frequently because she’s darn good at it! Plus, she’s probably tried more than me at Sephora. She fears nothing! The gold is awesome…shimmer without the Trump gilded look. Another one to try over the BTO.
