Estee Lauder Shadestick Duo Gold Bronze Review, Swatches, Photos
Estee Lauder introduced two dual sided Shadestick Duos with the Bronze Goddess Collection this year and damn, they sold out fast. I can’t find them online however I’ve seen them at two Estee Lauder counters so if you’re wanting ’em after this review best get ’em while the getting is good.
The sticks are great as a base, a liner, or an all over shadow. I was lucky enough to get the Gold Bronze color selection to try out because it’s thee perfect duo for warm, bronze-y eyes for Summer and yes, Summer seems to be nearing New York now. Can’t believe I’m going to say it but Yay! for humidity!

A dual sided Shadestick that multitasks as a liner, shadow, and base!
I normally don’t love shadesticks…I dunno why, it’s just something I don’t make proper use of however I really am loving the Estee Lauder Shadestick Duo! Could be the formula, could be the great color selection they paired together, dunno, don’t care just love it hard at the moment.
This is a generously sized chubby pencil that features two shades selections. Estee Lauder released this as a part of the Bronze Goddess Collection and they have another color selection in cooler shades but I happen to be partial to the colors I got to try which was Gold Bronze. The pencil is made up of a bronze-y metallic brown and a warm yellow gold. The colors actually contrast nicely together so if you want you can begin a look by applying the gold smudged into your inner eye and the brown on the outer v area. The formula is creamy and blends easily without creasing or fading easily.
It’s easy enough to use these as a creamy all over shadow however they prove a little bit challenging as a liner as I personally need a thinner more precise tip for lining my eyes with however no one is stopping you from lining and filling eyes with them so you can go ahead and multitask the pencil however way you wish.
I also like to use them as a base as they add a certain depth and richness to a powder shadow applied on top. The colors come across metallic with a hint of shimmer and smoke out easily for a more sultry look. Both are quite pigmented and it’s nice having them in one pencil as it makes them easy to travel with!
Can’t really find a single fault with the product as I just generally enjoyed it and wished the they had introduced a few other shades for the Summer like maybe a fiery coral! Yum!
- If you’re looking for a multitasking pencil to use as a base for powder eyeshadow, as a creamy shadow on its own, or as a liner.
- You want a gorgeous bronze-y gold look for Summer (the shades contrast and blend together seamlessly for a sizzling Summer look).
- Want an easy to carry pencil that acts as your shadow and liner!
- Aren’t keen on cream shadows.
Overall, I liked these only fault I found was the lack of variety but Bronze Goddess is a limited edition collection so it’s understandable they didn’t concentrate on releasing a slew of colors in this. The formula wears well and I think even oily lids can partake in the long wearing formula that seems to remain crease-free even without my trusty UDPP underneath during wear. I enjoyed how easily these contrasted as well and didn’t come across muddy when used together. The pencil is convenient and will travel quite nicely with me when I go on vacation in the next few weeks!
Likey lots!
Quite Muse Approved for purchase!
