Lancome O De Lancome Eau de Toilette Review

Lancome released O de L’Orangerie recently….is it me or do you want to say, “O da Orange!” whenever you see that typed out? Yeah, well, obviously I have way too much time on my hands.

After spending the better part of 30 minutes at our Lancome counter and bickering back and forth about which of the three O’s smelled the nicest and what five products we’d choose with our GWP, my best friend Jai and ended up not actually buying the newest scent…what a pointless trip….we did end up getting an old favorite that we never tried before which was Lancome O De Lancome Eau de Toilette.

I must have missed the memo on this one because I have never heard about it until now. Whoa. Weird. I thought I was well versed on all good things Lancome fragrance but obviously this one passed me by.

It’s a very mature fragrance and it won’t prove a favorite for everyone but Imma like smelling like old lady yo, yeah, it’s that kinda mature….

Check it!

This surprised me as it really is mature and does have a bit of a grandmotherly vibe about it or at least to my nose it does. It won’t prove a fond favorite for everyone but I urge you to try it on counter if you’re a fan of Lush Cosmetics as this kinda reminds of that beautiful fragrance when you first walk into a Lush shop….all the scents of all the soaps, bath bombs, and bubble bars combined into that scent we distinctively know as LUSH!

O De Lancome has a certain sparkling grassy, clean scent that evokes Spring. Bergamot plays a heavy role in the fragrance and is one of the first and most dominate notes of the blend. It creates a certain powdery layer to the overall perfume in my opinion while subtle, little, ickle hints of Lemon, Mandarin, and other citrus-y notes play in the background.

The fragrance has a fuller body as it dries down and lusher green, herbal notes start to come out such as basil, rosemary, and coriander…these herbal notes mix so well with both the Bergamot and citrus ones, it’s rather amazing how easily you can pick each out and smell how they compliment each other so very brilliantly.

As the fragrance continues it’s dry down whispers of oak moss and sandalwood play with the top and heart notes of the blend and create a bit of warmth.

The scent is quite complex and I find it very interesting being able to pick each note apart as the fragrance dries down. It’s a tad on the mature side as a I mentioned and you might get a bit of an “older” lady vibe to it but for me I experience a rush of Lush love…it really gives me a Lush-y kinda feel.

Loving this!

Worth a sniff just so you can experience it for yourself!

I think it would actually be perfect if they added a little more lemon to the mix as this would add a bit more tartness to the blend and create a fresher less heavier feel to the fragrance.

Either way very much loving this for Spring.

Every try it?

Love it?

Leave it?

The bottle is so pretty and springy! I love the Lush smell too, and I like bergamot so I may just give this a whiff. I don’t really pay attention to Lancome fragrances, so thanks for the review!

I bought this years ago when it was new. Love the almost sharp greenness of it. It just feels fresh to me.

I love this “Eau Fraiche”! Ô de Lanôme, but also the wonderful Eau de Rochas have been classic summer scents for years here in Europe (especially in countries around the Mediterranean).

I was purchasing Hynose for my daughter and asked if they had a fragrance that had an orange or citric fragrance to it. O De L’orangerie was recommended.

At first, it was very nice. But over a very short period of time, the citric smell disappeared and like most, it bottomed out and smelled like all the other dozens of perfumes that I have purchased and wasted my money on.

    Disappointed and $55 poorer.
