Marc Jacobs Splash Curacao Review
Have you had a chance to sniff the latest round of Marc Jacobs Splashes for Summer 2011?
Each one is inspired by cool, sweet cocktail on a sun-soaked summer day…the kind I’m of day I’m dreaming about right now rather than dreading a possible rainy weekend!
Why………!
Well at least I have Marc Jacobs Curacao to keep me from ranting the bad weather!
Those who love a citrus will love Curacao!
This splash contains notes of Blood Oranges, Bitter Orange Bigrade, Lime, Mandarin, Violet, Pear, Apricot, White Moss, Amber, Musk, and Sandalwood.
At first spritz the prominent notes you’ll get are orange, lime, and mandarin. It’s a fresher citrus with a little tartness to it which isn’t overly done in the least. I think the White Moss, Amber, Mush, and Sandalwood give the fragrance a more mellow, softer finish and also a bit of a masculine edge…actually this is one reason I like these splashes as they have a certain “I hugged my boyfriend or best guy friend” vibe…
Although a bit fruity the scent rounds out to be refreshing and has an aquatic dry down with little lingering citrus notes. The moral of the story? A perfectly lovely Summer blend!
One of the most appealing parts of the Marc Jacobs Splash Collection are the 10 oz bottles (I placed a bottle of Ralph next to it so you can see how huge the splash really is)! These will last you for literally ages and for a splash/lighter eau de toilette formula they actually have excellent throw and linger.
Overall, so far, the new Marc Jacobs Splash range proves lovely and well worth checking out.
Definitely sniff ’em your next trip at Sephora.
