My Beauty Diary Aloe Amino Acid Cleanser Review

Maybe I’m craving matcha but when I tried out the My Beauty Diary Aloe Amino Acid Cleanser I could swear it smelled like some sort of matcha tea or candy!

This foaming cleanser is available for a limited time and supposedly contains amino acids. Amino acids are supposed to stimulate the product of collagen so your skin will look firmer and fine lines and wrinkles will appear plumped up and less visible…yeah, well, you know how it goes with skincare promising us the world.

I will say it’s a great cleanser and hey, if by some chance it has some anti-aging benefits in the long run you won’t hear me complaining!

Check it!

A foaming cleanser that contains amino acids.

I love that My Beauty Diary, known for it’s cult favorite sheet masks, has ventured into the realms of creating cute little skincare products. This particular cleaner was from their Tea Collection and was available for a limited time, still is actually out there and available for your purchasing pleasure.

I actually liked this alot although it does lack the joys of a traditional Asian foaming wash in some aspects.

The cleanser comes packed in a tiny little mint green tub, think Lush Facial Masks and/or Moisturizers and you’ll totally understand the packaging. Like most Asian skincare products they are always very conscious about such packaging and understand our obsessive compulsive need to not dip our fingers into a tub of product so they included a little spatula that allows you to scoop product out easily.

The product is a thick, pearl-ish formula which looks alot like many Asian Collagen Washes however it’s a tad thinner in comparison. I’ve used the wash for over a week now and can honestly say my face looks quite happy and lively with daily use. My skin appears brighter, happier, and less dull not that the product promises such benefits but hey, who am I to rant about awesome results thanks to a simple foaming cleanser?

Using it with your hands I thought it produced alot less foam so I decided I’d take to using it with my Clarisonic and in this case it creates a richer lather but like I mentioned above not as much as you’d see from a more traditional foaming facial wash from Asia. I didn’t mind so much and felt like the texture also lacked the slippery texture of such a wash as well but again it wasn’t bothersome to me and a refreshing change from the norm. After use my skin doesn’t appear to suffer any dryness, tightness, or flakiness but it doesn’t feel any more hydrated either so following up with moisturizer is a good idea (which you’ll do anyway I’m sure).

The scent starts out as a herbal-ly aloe but for some odd reason I start getting wisps of matcha tea as I use it which totally makes me smile as I love me some matcha!

The product is exclusive to Taiwan and a few select Asian companies which proves a hassle since you’ll be forced to purchase online but I think it’s well worth the extra effort.

  • Anyone looking for a basic foaming cleanser that may or may not help along with the anti-aging process.
  • Those who like matcha tea (hehe!).
  • Those who want a basic cleanser that works well with their Clarisonic and eases dullness while cleansing skin well!

  • Those who aren’t keen with online ordering, airmail charges, and abroad purchases (E-bay and some small shops are the best way to get this online however it may prove difficult to locate in a regular store if you aren’t living in area with smaller Asian beauty shops and stores).

Overall, I really enjoyed this and I’m saddened that it’s LE as I think I’d probably regularly purchase it to pair up with my Clarisonic. It just seems like one of those great basic cleaners that makes my skin quite happy after use plus the kawaii factor and awesome smell helps things along here….!

I originally purchased one of these off of Sasa and sadly they do not carry it anymore so I purchased a back up from Imomoko recently. I am not affiliated with this seller but have had success purchasing from her site in the past.

I recommend this one and felt like it deserved a Muse Approval for being a great basic cleanser for all skin types!

I bought my first My Beauty product it the Mini Desert time Set. I been waiting for it like crazy, it is pretty cute, but do not understand the instruction. It has two mask and strawberry yogurt amina acid cleanser and vanilla souffle face scrub. Wich one goes first, so i wet my face first. I will love to hear from you. :8)

hi elizabeth the strawberry yogurt is a cleanser used on a wet face, the masks are used on a freshly washed face that’s dry for 20 minutes (or more if you want) and the vanilla souffle is a peel. you pump it out and rub it on your face and it exfoliates 😉 I have the same set!

Damn it Muse, once again you send me tabbing over to ebay to purchase yet another Asian beauty product! If this doesn’t foam up as much as other Asian cleansers I’ll be quite happy, with my Clarisonic I find most of them just too much, and I am fighting the foam off every 20 seconds.

    • the Muse

sarah agreed…they really attack with the lather LOL! a scoop full doesn’t produce nearly as much lather as other Asian foams so you’re golden with this ;D!

I actually found this and the strawberry yogurt one at my local T&T, which is an asian supermarket chain where I live (BC lower mainland, Canada). It was about 10.99CAD there.
