Revlon Grow Luscious Lash Liner

It all started with a serum one day….

Lash Growth Serum hit the market with quite a hooray, thank you Ms Brooke Shields! And every after we have gotten just about every eye product in the world that promises longer, stronger lashes.

Mascara, serums, even eye creams! Hell, I want someone to invent an eyeshadow that looks good and treats my lashes so they’ll get longer and stronger..shiz, I shouldn’t have said that out loud! I could market that and make millions!

The latest craze for longer lashes is eyeliners that help the cause.

Revlon Grow Luscious Lash Liner joins brands like Physicians Formula in the drugstore lash growing epidemic with this new eyeliner.

Not only does it promise perfect eyeliner joy but also a lash growing serum built in!

Wonders never case.

Gimmick or Great?

Muse — is this a cream pencil style liner (Like UD 24/7) or is this a liquid liner like the PF one? Thanks! 😀 <3

    • the Muse

josh how are you sweets? long time no speak. it’s actual pencil…wild eh? Wonder if it works. have you tried the PF one yet? <3!

      • Josh

I’m wonderful! Just getting over a cold and a longggg work week with NARS! I have tried the PF one before. I got the clear since I didn’t see myself using a liquid liner daily. It was very crappy to say the least. I couldn’t even see if the liquid was coming out. I returned it.

        • the Muse

me too. I had a nasty one and I’m still coughing :-/ Loooonnggg weeks with NARs are fabulous ;-D! ew that sucks…they scare me so I avoid them..all those warnings they have give me nightmares. Just my luck that I’d try it and lose an eye or something equally insane…! bloody hell!

I definitely understand that! I’ve been using the L’Oreal one since it’s release — I got it like a month before it launched back when I worked with Walgreens and have repurchased it since. I don’t notice much of a difference in length, but it feels conditioning. lol

          • the Muse

lol josh at least you get conditioning ;-D that counts for something ;D!

What kind of sharpener do you use for the revlon Grow Luscious Lash Liner? A regular one does not work because the pencil around the liner is plastic
      I don’t get it.

      • Emily

        It’s a wooden pencil. I use a regular sharpener. 🙂

I just had a bad experience with a lash-growth product. I was using L’oreal’s version and it was working, I had noticeable results. I spotted a tiny spot of irritation next to my right eye that became more noticeable and irritated as the week went by. I went to the eye dr. and they told me I had an ingrown lash- the lashes at the very corner of my eye had started to grow sideways and into the fold of skin next to my eye. Normally wouldn’t cause problems, the lash would break or fall out- but because the lashes were so strong it became a problem that required action :/ I ended up having the lashes removed (pulled out of my skin and my lids)- even worse it had started to happen on my other eye too so he pulled those too, to be safe! No more lash growth products for me…

lorraine that is scary as hells girl! Elessa (pursebuzz) and I were talking about this stuff when it first came out and she started to try one brand and a few weeks later she had hairs growing on the outer corner of her eye (not the eye itself but the skin near the eye area). Nothing serious and was kind of funny at the time because who sees hair there? wrinkles yes lol crows feet sure but not lashes LOL! but that’s really crazy, I hope you’re ok!

Thanks for the information. I’ll steer clear of lash growth products. I was always skeptical about them as I wondered what sort of chemicals were in them in order to make eyelashes grow longer.

  • PauFM

i’ll just stick with MUFE’s aqualiners for a liquid liner that rocks, and use sweet almond oil on my lashes at night like my mom taught me, this has kept my lashes dark, strong and looooong since I can remember 🙂

I’ve been using the PF liquid liner the past few months and I am IN LOVE with it!!! The brush-tip applicator makes it a breeze to use and the formula stays on my oily lids all day without budging, smudging, or flaking. The lash-boosting serum in it has not only made my lashes visibly longer and thicker but I was inspecting my lashes the other night and noticed numerous baby lashes that had sprouted on top of my normal lash-line!!! Sounds insane but I swear it’s true. I use L’Oreal’s Lash Serum at night also so I’m not entirely sure which product is responsible, or maybe they both are, but my lashes look amazing now. Most days I can skip mascara entirely and still feel good about myself. I absolutely recommend the PF liner though. It’s my HG liquid liner. Because of it I’m not really tempted to try this Revlon liner. Plus I hated the Grow-Luscious mascara… horrid clumpy thing.

  • Nora

@ Lorraine – I’ve also been using the L’oreal lash growth serum and I absolutely adore it. My lashes genuinely are longer now. But I don’t use it every night: A) because I’m lazy B) when I’m having other allergy problems that might bug my eyes. But perhaps if you use it occasionally it would work for you? Or you could try only using it on the lashes themselves, not also on the eyelid. That way, it would only condition your existing lashes. I hate to see someone give up on this product because I know it works and it’s totally not expensive!

  • telle

i think gimmicky, but if its a nice liner, then great! 😀 the PF liners are really nice, as Ami said! i don’t use them to grow lashes though because i didnt notice anything! i do love the promo photo featured for these eye liners!

  • Abby

I bought this today and i was wondering if its only the tip and then you throw it away? Do you sharpen it or something?

    • Gege

Hey, I have the same problem, how do i get the lid out, I keep twisting the thing on the bottom but it doesn’t work and I don’t think its the kind that sharpens. Help!

  • Angela

@Abby from what I can tell you do sharpen it. Some of the pencils these days are made with kind of weird hard material, but I’m pretty sure you still would use a regular eye pencil sharpener and sharpen it. Hope this helps 🙂

  • Angela

Muse, have you tried the Revlon Grow Luscious mascara? I have used it and kind of have a love/hate relationship with it…I have seen a “Plumping” Grow Luscious mascara that is supposed to give volume, although the original version already did to some extent. Who knows.

  • Emily

I’m in a bit of a different situation than most when it comes to eyelashes. I have trichotillomania, the uncontrollable compulsion to pull out one’s hair, and most of my focus is taken out on my eyelashes. Right now, mine are in the beginning stages of growing back in, and I have seen a major acceleration in their growth since I started using the Grow Luscious liner.
But, growth results or not, I also love the formula for this liner. It’s creamy and goes on very dark and nicely, and stays smudge-able for just enough to blend it out if you want, but then it sets and stays put. I never have a problem with it running or straying.

    That’s just my input. 🙂
