You NEED this: L’Occitane en Provence Pivoine Flora Lipstick Fuchsia Review, Swatches, Photos
I’m feeling very French today, thank you very much L’Occitane en Provence Pivoine Flora Lipstick.
Now I need my petit ami, Benoit Magimel (circa A Single Girl because he’s looking all kinds of rough lately…) to come sit beside me and tell me how fabulous my lipstick looks!
Jump!
Four new shades of L’Occitane en Provence Lipstick released with their new Pivoine Flora Collection for Spring 2011.
It seems L’Occitaine created a lighter formula with the Pivoine Flora Lipstick as I already own a shade from the original release and it isn’t as a light. I’m absolutely in lust with these at the moment, it’s a you NEED this kinda of moment particularly if you love lighter lipsticks with a formula that glides on smoothly and leaves behind a shiny, glossy finish!
The lipsticks come housed in a gorgeous little cardboard tube, tre chic! I tried out the shade Fuchsia but no worries the other three shall be mine, already placed an order online for them!
The color is a shimmering shade of rosy pink. Don’t let the fuchsia name fool you as the color is a very pretty rosy pink without being too loud or bold. The formula is what really seals the deal here as it wears so comfortably with a weightless feel and a beautiful glossy, finish. The color has a sheer to medium pigmentation with softening Peony extract and a stronger floral flavor and scent. You can see the color on my lips by clicking here.
I thought the cooler rosy pink shade wouldn’t work for me but the color really adds a nice flush of color and I’m very partial to the glossy finish which makes it an ideal, lightweight lippie for the warm weather!
Nothing bad here…!
- Those looking for a lightweight, glossy lipstick for Summer.
- Those who wear minimal makeup (the weightless formula is ideal for those who prefer bare to minimal makeup looks).
- Those who love chic little pieces of makeup!
- Those sensitive to fragrance and/or flavored lip products (the strong floral smell and taste might not be a good pick for those sensitive to such).
I really liked this one alot. I thought it was improvement on the original lipstick I tried and felt like the formula was very suitable for the warm weather when I don’t want a heavy lipstick on my lips. The glossy formula glides on easily and leaves a pretty pop of color without every looking overly done or too bold and loud. Plus L’Occitane prices it at a very affordable $15!
Will it bag me Benoit Magimel? I can wish…!
