Beauty Abroad: Harnessing the Power of Mandom Cleaning Express Moist
Are you harnessing the power of Mandom?
I harness it like no one’s business when I get home after a super long day and just can’t be arsed to remove my makeup.
Jump!
I have this intricate makeup removal slash nighttime skincare regime that borders on anally, obsessive compulsive.
It’s ok, no need to admit you have the same habits. You know you do, I know you do but we don’t have to discuss skincare club nor do we have to admit the amount of products we use to remove our makeup at night or what the actual amount of products going on our faces at the end of a rather long day.
First rule of skincare club, no one talks about skincare club or the products in skincare club.
Sometimes I’m lazy. It’s rare but I get lazy from time to time but I generally like my routine and I’m a creature of habit so I don’t mind the extra work of removing my makeup and taking care of my face in the evening. It’s rather relaxing and of course, I reap the rewards in the AM when my skin is looking flawless.
But we’re concentrating on the lazy methods today.
Mandom.
Mandom has been around for far too many years and is a Japanese brand that creates various beauty and hygiene products including the popular Gatsby men’s line of products like hair sculping balms. Btw those balms would sell so much better if they got Orlando Bloom to shut up about Fiber Neo and start saying “Gatsbbbbbby”!
What you didn’t think his hair was naturally that greasy did you? Hottie has Shiseido Uno in those locks.
Damnit what was I saying about Mandom?
Ohhhhhhh yes!
Mandom the champion of lazy makeup removal.
I’ve been harnessing the power of Mandom Cleansing Express Moist since 2008 and it’s been my absolute essential, HG product of choice for getting all my makeup off, even waterproof mascara, in a hurry when I want to get to bed straight away or I’m simply too lazy to go through the leg work of proper makeup removal.
Mandom makes various formulas of the product but I happen to like the most option.
I dunno how, I dunno why but by some miracle Mandom created something that resembles water into an amazing product that does a fine joy of removing makeup in a flash.
It comes in a pump style bottle, about 8.5 oz in size or so, and costs about 800 yen (10 bucks) retail but it’s ALL over the internet from $12-$15 and up or if you live in a strong Asian community or near one you can get it at local beauty shops and Asian markets.
What’s it do, how’s it work?
I suggest reading my detailed review by clicking here but here’s a break down:
You simply saturated a cotton pad (I like large facial tissue) with the product (three pumps should do you) and proceed to wipe it all over your face. Take another cotton round and saturated it with more product and proceed to do your eyes. Now rinse.
Done!
This pretty much does it! Easy, 1, 2, 3 clean up! You can rinse with cold water after but you don’t have to.
It basically removes makeup super easily including waterproof mascara and eye makeup.
Moral of the story?
If you’re lazy, wear minimal makeup, or just want an easy cleaning solution, Mandom is your BFF!
Loves it!
Hope you enjoyed this look back at Cleansing Express and if you haven’t heard of it before, hope you enjoyed the introduction!

P.S. If you’re a beauty blogger I highly suggest stashing this on your desk! I use it to remove swatches from my arm in between pic takin’!
