About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Love this! I like keeping nail remover pads in my purse in case of emergencies.

I don’t know if I’d buy those. Partially because I’ve had mostly bad experiences with acetone-free polish remover – pre-soaked pads in particular – and mostly because I have had a really horrific experience with scented polish remover.
I’m usually not bothered by chemical and fake scents, but I had that coconut and vanilla abomination (bought by accident) that truly nauseated me.
Of course if I keep hearing about how awesome these pads are and how great they smell, I’ll be rather tempted by lemon, pear and grape…

(BTW, your Cherry Culture link is borked.)

I just happened upon the peach & the melon ones at my local Family Dollar store one day for a $1 I think. I decided to try the peach. I was kinda pysched cause it was polish remover to go. I opened it, the scent of peach was hardly there, didn’t smell much along the lines of remover either. The pads are pretty thin and it is hard to grab just one, they actually smell better once you start using them and the peach scent didn’t seem as fake as I would have expected. It seems to be pretty moisturizing compared to other removers. Removed pretty well, took some wiping etc…I used about 4 for a greyed purple color. They didn’t dry my nails & cuticles out like the other removers I am used to. Smelled a whole lot better also. Might not be a great idea for darker colors or glitters but I would say good for light to medium colors. Great for travel also. I would say they are worth it! I will have to check out the melon scent next.

Probably a decade ago, I bought nail polish while I was in Korea, and it was amazing. It smelled wonderful (floral scent, I believe) and was the best working nail polish I ever used. I still miss it. I may give these a try.
