Beauty Story Diamond Royal Jelly Revitalizing Sheet Mask Review

Beauty Story Sheet Masks supposedly contain diamond particles…seriously, people, WTH does that even mean? Diamond particles. Oh stop now!

Diamond promises aside, it does contain a heap load of Royal Jelly Extract so I feel like Queen B when I wear it.

Royal Jelly is derived from the secretions of male worker bees! That’s right bish, gather my honey! Crack the whip! It’s made up of amino acids (among other things, secretions? please child, let’s hope that isn’t what I think it is) and a ton of vitamins and minerals. Some brands harvest it because it’s a great natural skin care ingredient but I just like it because it moisturizers skin all crazy like and improves the general appearance and texture of it! I won’t get into all its great benefits but needless to say Royal Jelly is a rocking ingredient to include in a sheet mask!

Let’s take a peek at Beauty Story Diamond Royal Jelly Revitalizing Sheet Masks!

Fab mask! Loves it! It does have a minor problem that I’ll tell you about in a second but I must say I’ll be buying this again in the future.

The masks are supposedly made up of royal jelly, honey extra, and diamond particles (I’m trying not to laugh when I type that) to leave your skin revitalized and brightened. I didn’t experience any brightening benefits after use and my skin was still rather dull but I will say the overall hydration fact was a major PLUS!

These prove to be one of the most moisturizing, hydrating masks I’ve tried. They are heavily saturated with product and each adheres very well to the face thanks to the ten cut design. They are made out of a thinner cotton so product absorbs more fully and easily into your face as your wear them. I both liked and disliked the thinner design but I’ll get into that in a minute.

After sitting around in one for 60 minutes I was absolutely floored at how smooth, soft, and hydrated my skin was. My skin had a bounce-y feel after use. I haven’t experienced that bounce since using Snowcake scented Oops Almond Kisses Moisturizer from Lush many years ago (yes, there was an oops many years ago and they scented Almond Kisses like our beloved Snowcake. Yes, it was amazing. Yes, I wish Lush would do it again! Damn them!).

I don’t have lines on my face as of yet but I just felt like the mask improved the overall texture and feel of my skin. It felt more youthful somehow and as I said, very moisturized. I’m quite eager for Winter to arrive so I can use these when I’m really flaky and dry!

Now the problem…

They only come in a five pack which kinda sorta stinks as I’m used to a ten pack so that means I’ll run out of them faster which in turn means I’ll need to stock pile two packs. Grr! Not a big issue but still none the less prefer a bigger pack.

Secondly, the silk fiber used to create the mask is super thin which I really liked however it broke apart really easily! I tend to tap my mask when its on as it’s customary to do so to get the product to absorb into your skin however a mere tap and the silk started to break apart rather quickly. I let it be but on my second try with the product I didn’t tap and it still broke apart….! Just be careful when using these as they are rather delicate.

If you’ve never used a sheet mask before they are simply a cotton like mask with cut outs for eyes and mouth. Each is saturated with an essence/serum and has a wet, heavy feel. You adhere it to your face and sit around for 20 minutes or more. After use your skin is revitalized! There are all kinds of masks available for specific needs including whitening ones, anti-aging ones, etc….! They are a common staple of Asian skincare.

Overall, Beauty Story has my business! The mask had a few quirks with the tearing problem and the lack of brightening but I can totally cope with this due to the excellent results.

If you have dry skin or have finer lines, or crepey skin due to aging I highly suggest checking this mask out. It moisturizers in a major way and it’ll make aging skin feel bouncy again!

Loves!

Very Muse Approved for purchase.

    LOL
Royal jelly isn’t what you think it is!!! It’s stuff secreted from male nursery bees. They secrete it from their heads(or near their head) to feed the larvae. No worries, you’re good. I was kind of worried about what it was before too!
