Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer Review, Swatches, Photos

Korres has extended its popular Quercetin & Oak Collection by adding a new concealer to the line up! This little guy promises long lasting, crease-free coverage to conceal dark circles while reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Best news?

Hyaluronic acid is added into the mix for an emollient formula that moisturizers dry skin and keeps it hydrated.

Let’s take a look!

A concealer with anti-aging benefits.

I’ve been using this a few weeks so I can’t really say if it’s treating the finer lines under my eyes as only time will tell if it actually works however, I do like the idea of a concealer that not only conceals my under eye woe but also treats it.

After viewing the shades available I settled on light which is a natural shade of beige with a bit of orange to it. I normally avoid orange undertones in my concealer as it tends to age my eyes but this actually ended up working very well at concealing darker circles. The formula is a thinner consistency with an emollient texture that blends out easily and has sheer to medium coverage which can be built for better coverage. I find the formula easy to work as it glides on easily with minimal effort on my part and blends in simply without alot of tugging or fanfare involved. I have drier eyes and I had no issues getting this into place for a nice flawless finish. As it’s Summer I like the thinner consistency of this as it’s not a creamy concealer or a heavier, richer one.

It does have a few minor quirks…

It wears quite well and you can get through the day without it fading however it does crease a tad bit into my finer lines within 2 to 3 hours of a wear. A little sweep of my finger gets things back in shape but it does deserve a mention that it creases an ickle bit particularly if you have finer lines and wrinkles under your eyes.

It’s only available in four shades although the shades should fit most.

  • Those who like concealers with an orange base for concealing darkness (most of the shades have orange-y undertones which is a good base for concealing darkness).
  • Those looking for a thin yet emollient concealer that smooths on and blends out easily under drier eyes.
  • Those who already like and use Quercetin & Oak line already and have had good success with it.
  • Those who want a concealer that has concealing and anti-aging benefits.

  • Those who want a long wearing, crease-free formula (I didn’t have issues with fading but I did experience some creasing within 2 to 3 hours of wear).
  • Those who want a thicker, creamier concealer (this is a thin formula).

I don’t think Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer will change my concealing world but it does prove a very nice little concealer overall and is particularly novel thanks to the benefit of anti-aging ingredients so not only does it conceal but also treats finer lines and prevents new ones from forming. I liked the formula well enough but was an ickle put off by the creasing problem as I’m used to my concealer sticking around without moving, fading, or making a comfy home in my fine lines. The formula defintely should appeal to those who like a thinner formula that’s firm but emollient and moisturizing for drier under eyes.

It’s worth a try as it is gaining a loyal fan base and a high review rating overall particularly due to it’s more natural take on ingredients and lack of parabens.

I liked it alot but I didn’t love it.

Anyone try it?

Available now at Sephora.

Totally unrelated but my BB&B doesn’t have ANY beauty section :(. I don’t think I’ll ever find the WnW Summer LE Color Icon trio :(.

ALSO I started S5 of Doctor Who last night, so far I am liking 11! But I needed my Jack fix so I’ve been watching S1 (after The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances) as well ^^;;;. I liked Torchwood but it was soooo heavy, I love the lighter ver. of Jack that shows up in Doctor Who~.

aw sorry Tammie 🙁 check CVS? someone scored it there ;-D yay!!!!!!!!!! So happy you’re catching up now! Agreed, Jack on Who is always funnier ;D

I’ve been checking CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid constantly, other beauty bloggers in my area can’t find it either :/. I haven’t been to Walgreens or CVS this week though, so I’ll give them a lookie today.

Yeah, me too although when I am all caught up & current I’ll be sad to have nothing to marathon any more! What will I do with myself!! Actually I was thinking of reading some of the Doctor Who and Torchwood novels (I already have like 5-6 samples on my Kindle) but that’ll only go so far too~. Last night I watched the 2 parter with the weeping angels (*shudder* OMG THEY MOVED AND TALKED ARGH) and the one about the “vampires” although I fell asleep during the last 5 minutes of that one… http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/pure_trance/jack-harkness-whatever_o_GIFSoupcom.gif <–hehe, a favorite S1 moment of mine.

I actually fell in love with the Wild Rose concealer by Korres, but I think it’s been discontinued. I was interested in this, but, because I’m allergic to oak, I’m betting I’d have a nasty reaction to this 🙁

i found out i really like timebalm’s concealer but i have to use a concealer brush for best results. it’s a little on the dry side, but a little moisturizer or primer -i have korres’ silicone-free one- works really well for me.

Oooh, looks nice! I’ve had terrible luck with undereye concealers. I try to put tiny bits on, and even though I have dry skin, it always ends up creasing a bit and making me look like I have lines.

Maybe I just suck at application, any tips?

Also, does this concealer have a strong smell? I love Korres products, but some of the skincare products seriously give me a migraine (Wild Rose Mask, though love the effects)

  • Majick

I put this on my list to try but I don’t think I would deal well with the creasing factor. I hate when my concealer does that.

I’ve been wanting to see this one reviewed – thank you! How does it compare to the Bobbi Brown ones? I find those are still too dry for me, even though they’re sposed to be creamy.

  • Eryng

Do you think this conealer would be good for covering things other than wrinkles and/or on places besides under the eye? For instance, could this be used as a concealer to cover red spots? Thanks!

  • Nia

Hmm, might be something I look at, although the creasing does not thrill me.
How would you compare it to the BB Creasy Concealer?

Have a great weekend, Muse 🙂
