Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer Review

The new Korres Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer allows for prepping under and over eyes a la Benefit Stay Don’t Stray. I kinda love the idea of a multitasking primer that works at keeping both my eyeshadow and my concealer in place!

The formula is also rich in antioxidants Quercetin and oak extract, as well as sunflower extract and vitamin E, which helps to smooth fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin’s elasticity and texture. Preps, primes, plus anti-aging abilities? Oh yay!

I do think that Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer will find its audience in those with oily lids or those with finer liners however it may prove too drying for some and others might not like the texture of the primer.

I, for one, didn’t like the texture and formula. My eyes are very dry and sadly this didn’t work well for me. The formula has a silicone, velvet-like feel and finish that might best be suited for those with oily lids looking to mattify their lids or fill lines around their eyes area.

The primer is nude however it applies transparent and has a sponge tip applicator for application. The formula is a thicker texture that pills a little bit as you blend out or at least on my drier eyes it did.

For me the issues would be the fact that it makes my eyes feel a tad dry and pills (rolls off in tiny balls) a fair bit. Shadows blend easily over it however I experienced some minor creasing and fading within 5 hours of wear time.

When using it to prep for concealer I noticed that it seemed to make things a little to overly done and also dried this delicate tissue out further which in turn made my eyes look older. I didn’t particularly love it as a prep for concealer so if anything I’ll be using to prime lids only but not under my eye.

The tube seems to lock air in so whenever I remove the applicator and go to put it back in I have to push a bit to a fair bit.

• Those with oily lids (this might prove great for mattifying oily lids).
• Those with finer lines on their lids and eye area (this might help fill these finer liners).

• Those wanting to use this all around their eye area to prep for shadow and concealer (if your under eye area is already dry I wouldn’t suggest using this to prep with in that area).
• Those who want all day wear form their shadow (about 5 hours in I noticed some creasing which got worst as the day progresses).

I’m a big Korres fan but I did find this primer a tad disappointing. Perhaps my eyes are a little too dry to really appreciate this one and I look forward to hearing from those with oily skin who have tried it as it may prove just the thing for such a skin type however for me it sadly failed to work out very well. The creasing problems plus the fact that it seemed to dry my eye area out a fair bit didn’t endear me to the product.

Too bad as I had high hopes for it.
