Philosophy Gets Complex with New Shower Gels in White Petals & Bergamot, Sweet Nectar & Sandalwood, Citrus Essence & Plum, and Golden Amber & Mandarin

Alright who was it that complained to Philosophy about their fruity, foody Shower Gels? Someone must have did it because they are pulling out all the stops with their new line of shower gels in rather complex floral and fruit combinations.

Hey, I liked the foody, sweet stuff….Sour Apple, Pink Layer Cake, Apple Pie…don’t go changing to try and please everyone…just worry about pleasin’ me.

Kiddin’! If you were always hoping that Philosophy would get on board with a mature blend of shower gels, well, now is your chance to experience them!

Philosophy is all about the fun when it comes to their shower gels. The line is dominated by fruity, sweet blends or foody ones. I think they’ve always appeal to me because I’m the type that doesn’t mind running around smelling like a vanilla frosted chocolate cupcake (but sadly, Philosophy is an in shower experience only).

However, they stepped up the maturity and class level with this new range which features delicate floral notes combined with soft fruit and perfumes.

They range includes four new scents available in shower gel ($16) and lotion ($24) formulas so you can layer and get a better throw from your fragrance.

New Scents:

  • Golden Amber & Mandarin
  • Sweet Nectar & Sandalwood
  • White Petals & Bergamot
  • Citrus Essence & Plum

I’m a hardcore, got the collect ’em all disease Philosophy Shower Gel kinda girl but I think I can safely skip these. Golden Amber? Sandalwood? Mmm…..not for me in the shower.

How about you?

Loving these new scents?

Do share!

What scents would you love to see from Philosophy?

I’m with you.. I’m good on the amber, sandlewood, bergamot (wth is that anyway?)

It all reminds me of hippie.. and not like.. cutesy hippie either.. like.. Funky Stinky Dirty Shoeless hippie.. Not the association I want to make with a shower gel. lol.

No offense to anyone that likes those scents.. To each their own. 🙂

But Lawdy.. gimme fruity or foody any day!

lol tiny…! I’m not so into amber..but hopeful they won’t be too stinky hippie ;D! I like sweet, fruity food any day of the week chica ;-D I can relate!

I LOVE sandalwood!! I need these so bad!! They would be perfect for summer, like an exotic forest!
Have you tried using both shower gel and lotion? Does the fragrance stick?

    • the Muse

I haven’t tried these layering but Philosophy lotions in general tend to have a nice wear on my kaynn but some are a tad sticky ;D

These don’t appeal to me either. Bring back Bubble Gum Blow Out! My kids and I went nuts for it!

ha kris ;-D loved it! did you get the orange lollipop one!?

O now this totally appeals to me! I wonder/hope Philosophy does a small 4 pack of these, as I don’t really want/need the full size.

Totally skipping these, Muse! I really only buy Philosophy shower gels for their foodie scents because I find them kind of drying. But to feel like I’m eating a cinnamon bun in the shower (um, without sogginess?) it’s worth it to have to use a little extra lotion afterwards!

me too sarah! I adore the cute foodie blends ;-D! hehe sans sog!
