Review: Welcome Back Stila Creme Bouquet Eau de Parfum
Although I was already a Stila fan girl at the time of it’s release I still have flashbacks of my intro to Stila whenever I smell Creme Bouquet. At the time of the Stila Creme Bouquet Fragrance release I was still a bit of a Stila virgin. I think my first collection from the brand was the Picnic in the Park one….does anyone remember that release? CLICK!
About two years later or perhaps a bit more Creme Bouquet was released along with Jade Blossom. And, please, correct me if I’m wrong wasn’t there a third fragrance as well? The trio, as I recall, was meant to be layered together to create different blends and that was actually how it was marketed. Needless to say I loved these fragrances and was ever so happy when Stila recently brought back to full size of Creme Bouquet but I stand by my right to say it’s a damn shame they didn’t bring back the other two.
Jump!
I dunno how but Stila masters a delicate vanilla blend that’s not too floral, too sweet, or too cloyingly vanilla with Creme Bouquet. Three simple notes of delicate sweet vanilla, pink lilac, and lily of the valley create a masterful, full bodied fragrance that’s sure to please those who love a warm, vanilla blend.
The bottle is decorated with the hand pressed flowers of the same notes in the fragrance. I’ve always admired the pink square bottle. It has a certain vintage feel.
Creme Bouquet hasn’t changed over the years (I’d say the fragrance is at least 8 to 10 years old) which is a relief since products that re-release do sometimes change. Creme Bouquet thankfully remains the same full bodied vanilla fragrance I knew and loved all those years ago.
The creamy vanilla dominates this blend but pink lilac and lily of the valley create a soft, delicate floral backdrop for the fragrance and that’s where it begins to live up to it’s name, Creme Bouquet, beautiful, soft floral notes mixed in with creamy vanilla. The fragrance has an incredible, linger wear time with just the right amount of throw.
I admit that the scent is lacking at times and I can’t help but consider hauling out the last small drop of Jade Blossom in my stash to combine it with so I can get a more full on sensory experience rather than the softer vanilla floral this is but still, regardless, Creme Bouquet remains one of my very favorite, easiest to wear vanilla fragrances.
If you love vanilla blends that are warm, comforting, and very feminine, Creme Bouquet is your girl!
Loves it!
Very Muse Approved for purchase.

P.S. Stash this one away for Winter as it’s not a very friendly Summer scent in my humblest!
