Rohto Skin Aqua Moisture Gel SPF 27 Review: For the Lazy SPF Users

You may recognize the Rohto brand name due to the fact they make a wide range of eye drops. I’m pretty sure I’ve tortured myself more than once with their “refreshing” eye washes and drops. Do not like.

However, resentment aside for their toothpaste (I call them toothpaste eye drops because of the super minty fresh feelin’!) eye drops I do like their Skin Aqua SPF Collection.

I dub their Skin Aqua Moisture Gel the lazy SPF solution.

Check it!

A sunscreen that can be used on face and body that protects against UVA/UVB.

Come Summer I prefer a high level SPF because I’m normally outside alot more during the warmer weather however, in the Winter I absolutely love Rohto Skin Aqua Moisture Gel. I’m recommending Skin Aqua Moisture Gel today if you’re a bit of a lazy SPF’er since the formula is an interesting one.

I normally use this in the Winter because the SPF level is a tad lower and I’m indoors more and it’s so lightweight it allows plenty of room for the other necessary serums and moisturizers my drier skin needs in the cold weather.

The texture is one of the lightest you’ll find. This is a gel moisturizer type SPF that contains Collagen, Supahiaruron Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, and Amino Acid so it not only absorbs easily but also leaves skin hydrated and dewy to the touch. The real joy here is the gel based formula which absorbs in a snap! I find it’s an easy one to incorporate into a regime that contains alot of various products such as serums, moisturizers, etc…..as it doesn’t make your skin feel greasy or oily and isn’t heavy in the least. It’s virtually weightless and has a smooth, dewy finish that will work beautifully on oily skin.

Sadly, the SPF 27 is on the lower end of sun protection but as I said it’s ideal for Winter wear or if you don’t mind a lower SPF and just want basic sun protection, this is fine. SPF 30 is normally the standard recommendation for sun protection anyway so you aren’t too far off here.

The lower protection isn’t too appealing but if you tend to avoid SPF because they are heavy or greasy this could convert you to incorporating it into your daily regime easily due to the super light texture!

  • Those seeking a lightweight, quick absorbing SPF.
  • Those who have an intricate AM skincare regime and want light protection that works well with their other skincare products.
  • Those seeking an SPF that works well with oily skin.
  • Those wanting an SPF to use on face and body!

  • Those who want a high level SPF.

Skin Aqua Moisture Gel would easily be my HG (holy grail) SPF if it had a higher level of sun protection but for Winter months it proves an ideal solution for me. I highly recommend it if you tend to avoid SPF’s because they feel to heavy or you have oily skin or break out after using them. This is incredibly lightweight, very gentle, and absorbs easily plus it’s super cheap if you can get it near retail (about 900 yen or so). Let’s not forget you can also use this on both your face and body! If you have drier skin I think you’ll enjoy the formula as well since it offers a hydrating finish and allows skin to retain that moisture.

For serious SPF’ers you can use this as part of your Winter regime as it’s oh so friendly when you’re taking advantage of a heavier winter regime which involves moisturizers and serums, etc….and for lazy SPF’ers, well, this is more than ideal due to the quick absorbing, lightweight formula!

Lazy?

Try Skin Aqua Moisture Gel!

Very Muse Approved for the lazy SPF user.

Although Japanese, Skin Aqua’s range is pretty easy to find at retail both online and in smaller Asian shops.

Anyone use it?
