Too Faced Eye Love Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches, Photos: The Best Sephora Perk I’ve Ever Laid Eyes On

Dude, I’m kinda diggin’ on the Too Faced Eye Love Eyeshadow Palette available for a mere 500 Points as a VIB Perk at the moment.

This palette gathers up some of the fab shades you’ll find in the Too Faced Smoky, Naked, Natural, and Soft & Sexy Eyeshadow Palettes.

It’s a pretty nice deal if you don’t already own these palettes as you’re getting a little sample of each without splurging on the real deal. The palette is sturdy, well made, and each shadow is pigmented with a fabulous formula.

Here’s a peek and some swatches!

I was surprised. This is probably one of the best perks I’ve seen. Granted, Sephora has had some nice perks in the past but I’d say this was the best one to date. What do you think?

The palette is a sturdy, slim line design. Too Faced didn’t forsake anything making this as it sports similar packaging to any other product you’d buy from the brand. It’s cute, well made, and houses some fabulous shadows inside.

The eyeshadow are each 0.03 oz each versus the original palette size of the same so you aren’t forsaking anything in terms of quantity here (although the original palettes do feature two sizes of shadow three that are 0.07 oz and three that are 0.03 oz). The set all comes with a mini tube of Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer.

Too Faced included four easy to follow “get the look” instructions that are printed on the inside flap of the palette and also are available in a pull out instructional card. I thought this was a nice touch but I felt like it was unnecessary to both print this on the inner flap and include the card. I’d have preferred a mirror instead along with the pull out card but hey, it is still a sweet palette none the less.

The shades you’ll get are:

  • Honeymoon (burnished gold shimmer) and Ever After (bronze shimmer) from the Too Faced Romantic Eye Classic Beauty Shadow Collection

I didn’t really need this palette and neither do you if you already own the other box set shadows from Too Faced but I wanted to have it to take on vacation with me (so much easier to travel with) plus I wanted to swatch it, photograph it, and tell all of you about it so it was well worth dishing out my 500 points for.

Overall, if you don’t already own some of the box sets from Too Faced, I highly recommend dishing out your Sephora bank on this little guy or hurry up and meet your 500 point mark before it runs out!

Loves it!

Anyone haul it?

What did you think?

Do share!

Hey Muse! Now that you’ve got your hands on this palette, how do you feel about it compared to the Naked Palette by Urban Decay?

    • the Muse

too different things ludwig..? 🙂 can’t really compare nude, natural, brown shades to a palette that has black, green, pink, etc… Hope this helps?!

  • Tammie

I want it but Sephora never has it in my store! I don’t have any Too Faced shadows so it’d be perfect.

You keep getting all these things I can’t find muse :P. So jealous. Like those summer WnW color icon trio. Can’t find it anywhere!!

    • the Muse

same prob here Tam. couldn’t find it 🙁 I had to get it online :-/ blah! awww damn sorry. any luck at bed, bath, and beyond? they have a HUGE beauty section here and I always score new stuff ;D!

      • Tammie

Boo, I hate ordering online lol. Oh well…to be honest the colors here don’t excite me that much so I will most likely pass unless my local store gets this in…I really only order online as a last resort. I go to the mall all the time and am pretty impatient not to mention I don’t want to pay shipping :X

I haven’t even considered BB&B!! Will HAVE to check it out, I need one of those chair/pillow things to watch Doctor Who in bed anyway so I was already planning to look. I hope my BB&B has a beauty section too!

        • the Muse

aw tam totally understand. tell me ’bout it. Free shipping all way the way please!!!!!!!!! ;-D BB&B here always has a huge stash of goodies so you might get lucky!!!!!!!!!! :D!

          • Tammie

I checked in one BB&B and they had zero beauty stuff so I lost hope, BUT I’ll check this other one on my way home tonight :3

        • kali

Hey! Sephora offers free shipping (at least in U.S.) for orders $50 or more.

And if you do happen to want something in store (but it’s out of stock), they’ll give you a free shipping amount (and you can spend any amount you want).. Hope that helps.

    • Lorraine ER

I don’t know if this helps you but you can get free shipping codes from sales associates at Sephora. I’ve gotten them when I’ve gone in there and something I wanted was out of stock.

  • Sarah S.

A girl from Chicago named Ebrushka (or that’s her blog name, not sure) mentioned this a couple of months ago in her blog, and got it back then… but I haven’t gotten around to using it yet! I’m tempted to go into Sephora and get something for $3 to see if I can get another one, hehe. Yes, I have 497 points…

  • cassie

I got it. It was available in my store! I love Too Faced shadows and dont own any of their palettes, just a lot of their single and duo shadows. Packaging is awesome, colors are gorgeous, although I dont think I will use the smoky colors because they do not suit me at all, all the others are perfect.
I hardly ever ever redeem my points, but this was totally worth it.

    • the Muse

yay cassie ;-D glad you’re enjoying wear in health dear!

  • Christine

My budget couldn’t handle any beauty buys lately, so I was taking a bit of a break, but I saw this post and was happy to indulge without spending any (or very little) real money – so I just got the TokiDoki gloss in Burger for 7 bucks and this online. Can’t wait to get them as I have been gloomy and crabby from my beauty buying diet :P. Thanks, Muse!

    • the Muse

yay christine 😀 I’m so glad you were able to snag this hun! take your beauty budget diet for a ride, type sale into the Sephora search box ;-D hehe there’s alot of ickle little things you can indulge in when you aren’t feel happy about your beauty calorie intake ;D! without breaking the bank!

      • Christine

Thanks for the tip Muse…I’ll be sure to look for the sale items on Sephora when I am craving badly. But it’s not just the budget issue, but a space issue too now! I’ve read your storage posts, which have been very helpful, but at some point, it comes to my honey asking me why there is lipgloss in the cutlery drawer :P.

        • the Muse

my pleasure christine ;-D! I’m enabling more than I’m helping right? ;-D I hear you 🙁 same here with space. LOL awwwwww! I think I have to buy two more helmers 🙁 b/c I have stuff tossed in a rubbermaid bin that I’d like to get organized. I def can relate to storage!

        • Majick

OMGosh Christine – you should have given a spurt alert on your last line about the cutlery drawer – I just sprayed water all over my keyboard. TOO FUNNY!

  • Hope

I thought the pull-out card was pointless until I saw it was in French!

Sephora US also sells to Canada (vs. Sephora France, etc.) and I think everything there has to be in both English and French.

It’s pointless for me because I don’t know French but there’s a reason for it being there.

    • the Muse

oh crap hope I just noticed that LMAO….I thought it was in English! I didn’t even notice that until you pointed it out!!!!!!!

  • Ashley

Looks like an amazing palette, I’ve always liked Too Faced Palettes, I will have to check this one out.

    Great review!

  • Barb

Nice. I’ll have to check my balance and see how many points I have. Thanks 🙂

  • Jane

I have the orginal palettes but I still picked this up just because this is so easy to travel with this pallette goes everywhere with me. I have taken when traveling back and forth between my family and it has become a staple in my everyday make up bag. It is a fantastic perk to have and it is really great to travel with as well.

    • the Muse

jane that’s why I got it ;-D great for vacation/getaways rather than toting all four of the other palettes along I can take this and go ;D!

  • Jess

I have this! I got it a couple of weeks ago for my 500 point perk too! 😀 I think its amazing!! My best friend whos JUST getting into make up wanted to pick up some new shadows… so I gave her this since i thought it had an awesome array of shadows! Haha I only gave it away because I have enough Bobbi Brown shadows – thanks to you 😛 LOL!!

  • Eva Dusolier

It is indeed an amazing palette…but mine came scratched and stained on one corner. I was really sad 🙁 and it bugs me a little every time I use it (I am a little anal as you can see…lol) It is still a wonderful gift!

P.D: Muse, I love your blog! I read it every single day! Just awesome.

    • the Muse

return it eva have sephora send you another one girl! no reason to settle ;-D awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thank you misses! <3 you!

  • Misato-san

I really wonder why Sephora has such great deals for you in USA and NOTHING AT ALL here in Italy. Even sales are crap. No friends and family no online discounts nothing of nothing for us.

  • theRothstanator

I love this perk so much!!!!!!!1 And Satin Sheets is super beautiful! I wish they made it in a single 🙁

  • Soo

I’ve waited for a good perk to redeem at the 500 and got this last month too! the pigmented ones are really nice and Satin Sheets is sooo pretty~

  • Phyrra

You convinced me I needed to spend some of my carefully hoarded points on this!

  • Tracy

I’m never impressed with the Sephora perks, so I’ve racked up quite a few. When I saw this in store I just had to have it!

  • kiwikiwidragon

I was super excited about this plus i got it when sephora had a 5 piece set as a code giveaway too! The Smashbox perk right before this one was good too. It was eye wardrobe or something like that, it had a nice eye trio, primer, mascara, eyeliner, and something else i don’t remember. I think their perks could always be bigger but aren’t that bad considering its free or mostly free. I love freebies and think more companies should reward their customers for loyalty with free stuff!

    • the Muse

kiwi technically they aren’t free those 500 points are like 500 dollars hahahahaha!

  • Duckses

Aww, I was just waiting to get paid to order stuff and redeem this, but just when I was ready to do it, it’s out of stock!

    • the Muse

aw sorry duckes 🙁 all my chatter about it ended up in OOS’ing it!

  • Majick

WHeW! Glad I didn’t balk the other night when I put this puppy in my cart. LOL I’ve been hoarding points waiting for something good and this was it for me. I only have 1 Too Face shadow single (Label Whore) that was gifted to me by a MUA friend. I thought this was the perfect way to get some TF shadows and use some points.

Muse, I have to ask, did you use the code ROuge? I’m still waiting for my order and I pray to God that everything is in there because the only reason I ordered was to get the darn Guerlain lippie deluxe sample. I am truly hopeless sometimes.

  • Brittany

Hi Muse! I received mine yesterday and am blown away! I love the colors and they really shine in natural sunlight. Great mattes too! The silver is BEAUTIFUL and has a tinge of blue to it. Love, love, love free awesome stuff.
