About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I saw these in a JC Penny Sephora last week.

They were very pretty and I am quite tempted by the Maggie collection.

I have the Annie Eye Gotta collection and the colors are gorgeous. The packaging, however, is not cool. The cream shadows are in the same cardboard as the powder shadows, and not easy to get out. Plus, the only top or lid to the powder shadows is the top of the case. So if you only want to store or carry the powder shadows you have to keep it in the big box or cut it off from the rest and put it in something else.

I ordered the Annie kit and it should arrive later this week. I have heard about the packaging woes, but I’m so anxious to try the cream shadows that I hope I can overlook it.

I’m getting both kits just for the cream shadows! Wish i could find swatches already but so far, nothing has turned up. Will you be getting them, Muse??

  • JoElla

I was lucky enough to play at a jc penny’s sephora last week and bought the cute little benefit 10.00 kit with the primer, earase paste and a cream shadow. I am really impressed with these goodies and can see buying more from this line. I am wearing the cream shadow for the first time today. I love the wash of color and didn’t use the primer. I can’t wait to see how it works with the primer.

and I agree I think I would buy one of these kits for the cream shadows and get the other shadows as a bonus!

The items and illustration in this collection just seem thrown together in a rush, especially when you compare it to their first collection (which I sometimes regret not buying). Then again, you did mention it was Sephora exclusive…

  • Reme

Gosh we’re so behind in Ireland when it comes to Benefit, we only got the previous Annie and Maggie palettes in June!

I met them recently at the launch of chacha tint and they are lovely girls I have to say, gorgeous Glamazons 🙂 How lucky for them to have a beauty brand as the family business, jealous is not the word!!!

    • the Muse

reme they really are pretty girls ;-D! do you love cha cha?! ;-D

  • Reme

Yep Muse I’m loving cha cha tint, I was scared initially by the bright orange coming out on the brush but I’m glad I was brave and bought it regardless. A little dot goes a long way and I like that it’s bright for summer and quick ‘n easy to apply.

yay reme happy to hear it girl!!!!!!! it’s such a fab one for Summer ;-D!
