Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask Review

My sister urged me to sit through an entire episode of Toddlers and Tiaras and I have to say I was fascinated by Mackenzie. She’s going to be the spokesperson for reasons why you shouldn’t have children.

O M G!

Out of control! If you loved this just youTube her up and you’ll see more of her incredible antics. She’s only four mine you.

Anyway, she was brought to my mind today because she had a Spa Day with a facial. She had a chocolate facial which she really didn’t want at all so you can imagine how she proceeded to throw herself on the floor and proceed to scream bloody murder. She did however spend alot of time eating the mask, girlfriend so does not need any sugar in her system as far as I’m concerned.

In my opinion someone should have slapped that kid with a bit of the new Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask, she’d totally chillax after this treatment!

Check it!

A mask that delivers bright and healthy skin while fending off free radicals. Calms skin and helps to even out skin’s tone and texture.

Ok, I admit the way to a girl’s heart and to win big sales is the create an innovative, unique mask that us geek’s can whip up at home while pretending to be a mad scientist. The new Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask does exactly that. Seriously, YOU need this.

It not only works but it’s just so bloody fun to use that after trying it out you’ll want to rip open a new package and do it all over again! I had a wickedly brilliant time running around the house in my lab coat while concocting a rubber mask for my face and proceeding to pretend to be Michael Myers and Leatherface while I had the mask on. Granted, I did run around the kitchen with a knife however I drew the line at the chain saw, kids don’t try this shiz at home, someone might get hurt.

Sorry, things did spiral out of control really fast. You can’t make products like this when you have a geeky beauty junkie testing it out because things are bound to get a bit weird and wacky fast.

The set includes six packages of powdered mask treatment, a measuring cup, and six tongue depressors. Yes, when testing this out a friend and I did spend the better part of the hour asking each other to say, “Ahhhhh…” with the tongue depressors but please refrain, these are used for mixing not playing doctor.

Getting things started is super easy! Grab a mixing bowl of some sort and empty the contents of one mask into the power. Now measure out a scoop of water with the cup included and start mixing. The mask gels up really fast and begins to feel very thick and rubbery as you mix. Work quickly as you want to slap it on your face before it dries.

Once it’s completely mixed up it resembles thick pudding or gelatin. You can use one of the tongue depressors to smear it onto your face or use your fingers. The mask feels super cooling on skin and as it dries it feels even more brisk but not in an uncomfortable way just a very refreshing feel. It rubberizes fairly quickly as you relax or run around acting like Leatherface it’ll start to congeal over.

I’m honestly not kidding when I say it really does remind me of Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It’s kinda like a second skin and does indeed feel like a very thin rubber. It doesn’t tighten up on your face so it wears very comfortably with a refreshing, cool feel. You’re supposed to sit around with it in place for 20 minutes but I went for 30 without any issues.

After the time is up you can peel it off in chunks. It doesn’t peek up in a single piece but half the fun is peeling it off in pieces in my opinion. I happen to be one for picking scars, skin, etc…gross I know but that’s one reason to chalk this up as FUN! Wahooo peeling stuff is brilliant! You totes know what I mean people, don’t act like you never picked a scar or peeled a hang nail or something equally disgusting!

So what’s the mask supposed to do.

Well, Algin is the main ingredient that allows to the mask to rubberize and it’s also what allows the other ingredients in the mask to absorb fully into your skin! Seaweed draws out dirt and oil while gently exfoliating skin and refining pores while hydrating and Bilberry acts as an anti-inflammatory to soothe and nourish skin while reducing free radical damage that contributes to skin aging. Bilberry also calms skin and reduces redness. And finally Vitamin C brightens skin and hyper pigmentation while promoting collagen rebuilding.

What did it do for my skin?

I went into the mask with dryness between my brows and forehead and normal skin on the rest of my skin. My skin was pretty dull and lackluster as well after removing a face full of makeup.

After peeling off the mask my skin was indeed brighter and hydrated. The mask didn’t leave me feeling tight or dry after use. In the AM my skin looked brighter and happier plus the flaky, dry area between my brows and on my forehead was nicely hydrated.

Bliss suggests using it as a weekly treat to keep skin in tiptop shape. I’ll continue to use it because I liked the overall results. I read some reviews that claimed it did indeed make pores appear noticeably smaller however my pores are non existent so I can’t speak for this.

No bad here even the price is nice at $38 for a six pack of masks!

  • Anyone who likes interesting little beauty masks!
  • Anyone with dull, lackluster skin in need of a pick me up!
  • Anyone who likes to see instant results after a mask treatment!
  • Anyone who wants to indulge in a decently priced mask that keeps skin looking lively and healthy!

  • Anyone who has small children (try not to run around the house with this in place frightening your wee ones!).

Overall, Bliss Fabulous Skin-Reviving Rubberizing Mask is a pleasant little treat for those of us that like a good weekly mask treatment. Honestly, beauty should be fun and Bliss brings that with this cool little mask. I just enjoyed using it and had a blast testing it out with a friend. I think mixing it up and creating it myself is really a fun way to get involved in your beauty regime!

And hey, the overall results of the mask are none to shabby either. My skin looks and feels smoother and brighter which in turn makes makeup application all the more easier in the AM! I thought it was fabulous for Summer too because I dunno about you but after a long day my makeup feels like it is melting off my face and my skin feels all kinds of stressed out and this is so refreshing and cooling on my skin. It’s nice to switch the AC on high, slather this on, and just sit back and close your eyes for a second!

I’m gonna to say YOU need this! Well worth a try! I think you’ll like it as much as me! At $38, it works out to $6.30 per a mask treatment which is quite a nice deal and considerably cheaper than heading out to get a facial!

This is available now at Sephora.com and will be available shortly from www.blissworld.com

Very Muse Approved for being fun, easy to use, refreshing, and oh so cheap!

Spanked is a more appropriate word. Four year olds and face masks shouldnt really be in the same sentence- i’m just happy when my 4 year old daughter washes her face.

    • the Muse

anna true that. Never saw a 4 year old getting a facial and having a spa day LOL!

  • Tammie

Seems nice but I am still too lazy to make it so I will stick to my sheet masks hehe. Also a little pricey side for me…I’d want to use it too often! I use my MBD sheet masks 3 times a week but I wish I could do it every day!

OMG Muse…I can’t believe there is another crazy pickin’ person out there! Glad I’m not the only weirdo xD

    • the Muse

tammie I TOTES pick everything girl ;-D LOL except my nose hahaha!

I used to use MBD five times a week ;-D I liked the results a little too much haha ;D!

      • Tammie

        Haha same here :).

Yeah I love the results…I would use it 7 days a week if I could!! It just feel so nice too.

        • the Muse

they have big boxes of 34-50 Tammie ;-D those would be great for 7 day use haha!

          • Tammie

Haha shush! Part of what I like about the MBD masks is the affordability~.

  • Deb

Oh Muse, you crack me up. I am so with you on this kid being a good reason to not have children. I don’t have any kids (by choice) and this girl is an example of one of the reasons why :). But in her defense, she’s only 4. I blame this on the parents. This child pageant stuff has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen. What happens when she grows up and finds out the rest of the world doesn’t think she is nearly as cute as her parents do? It’s just sad…..to put a little kid through this.

    • the Muse

deb I agree, I do blame the parents a bit as they really are doing nothing to enforce any parental control over her from what I’ve seen of the show. damn scary stuff ;-/

  • Cait

hmm looks nice but a little pricey for me…do you think it would work to only mix up half the mask at a time, or wouldn’t there be enough for your whole face?

    • the Muse

actually cait you have a very good idea. there would indeed be enough for two masks in one packet! ;D

  • Allysun

Thank you for the review! Now I’m curious (you little enabler, Muse, O you xD) but frankly, the “rubberizing” in the name sort of turns me off lol. When I first heard of these masks, what instantly came to my mind was the face of “gangers”!!! The Horror!! Although, little Mackenzie is quite horrifying herself xDD Happy hump day! 😀

    • the Muse

my pleasure allysun! ;-D GANGERS AHHH! omg yes! hahahaha! ;-D you rock! and totes a good example of what it looks and feels like dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha I can deal with the gangers compared to Mackenzie! Happy Hump Day girl! the weekend looms!

  • Brittany Ray

omg that kid cracks me up…she is the reason i watch that show XD

    • the Muse

this is the first time I actually watched an entire episode Brittany…she’s amazing!

  • Cj

Wow this sounds so cool! I can’t wait to try these out 😀 Gonna put in a Sephora order tonight! I love Bliss’s products. I use the triple oxygen face and eye masks atleast twice a month, feels so refreshing!

    • the Muse

i like the oxygen mask too cj ;-D cool stuff! I want the eye masks but haven’t indulged yet ;-D! lmk how it works out for you when you try!

  • Tina

I’ve only seen bits and pieces of the show Toddlers and Tiaras and saw the one where the little girl had a fit because her mom couldn’t find her pacifier. X_X

As for the mask, looks interesting. Knowing me, I’d buy it just so I can peel off half of the mask and walk around the house lookin’ like Phantom of the Opera.

  • Christine

Oh my gosh… That child… I have no words.

Half of me wanted to sit her down to have a little talk about respect, but the other half of me just felt awful because she must learn that behavior somewhere… Could you imagine being surrounded by women who act like that?!? Psshh, if I was 4 and the adults in my life behaved like that (when they weren’t primping me for a pageant), I’d act out too.

Hmmm, this mask is tempting, especially if you can split a pack in two… But I’ll have to do some research and find out how it works for jumbo pores first. Darn you Muse and your naturally beautiful skin :P!

  • Elena

Is not the kid who should be slapped. Is the mom for putting her thru that freaking pageant hell and make her a mini bitch at 4. She’s not to blame.

  • Barb

I admit to watching this show and thinking to myself that the parents are freaking nuts! She is a full out biotchy diva at 4. Imagine what she’ll be like when she’s a teenager!!

    • the Muse

I couldnl’t help but think of her as a teenager and hiding in my closet in fear Barb ;D!

  • Melissa

I love this show but I tend to forget that it is “reality”. I guess she probably acts like a princess off camera too. Thanks for the review I love peeley masks. I might needs this. 🙂

  • Larie

Omg, this is so cool, though the fact that I have to mix it together kind of freaks me out. Haha. I’m a chemist, even – I do enough of that during the day, I don’t wanna go home and do it again!

    • the Muse

lol larie ;-D but it’s fun to mix stuff ;D! job or not related ;D!

  • Jeni

I am ordering this today from Sephora. I am truly impressed with how you described your skin after the mask was peeled away…Yay!
