E.L.F. Cosmetics Back to School Candied Lip Balm Collection Review
Back to School, my favorite time of the year.
I’m long done with school but I totally pursue the aisles at my favorite stores for school supplies, new beauty, book bags, and totes…I have a slight office/school supply addiction so when July rolls around and Staples, Target, and The Container Store start ushering out Back to School goodies I’m so in like Flynn.
E.L.F. Cosmetics has a new exclusive Target Collection that you might want to check out. It includes these cute Candied Lip Balms!
Check ’em!
Three deliciously flavored lip balms with a budget price!
These balms come in a trio set housed in a box that resembles a memo pad! Loving the cute packaging. You get three lip balms for $3 which is a rather nice deal. The balms resemble Soft Lips as they are a thinner tube with a twist up design.
The formula contains shea butter and vitamins A&E. Surprisingly the formula is VERY nice. They have a nice slick, moisturizing formula with a glossy finish. As soon as they hit your lips they begin to melt which allows them to glide easily onto lips. I find the formula very moisturizing and they keep my lips nicely hydrated throughout the day in between gloss or lipstick touch ups!
You get three flavors which are Black Cherry, Vanilla Creme, and Strawberry Creme. As someone who isn’t bothered by flavored lip products I liked the flavors well enough but I have tried way better and felt like the flavors were a bit plastic-like compared to say a product like Soft Lips who have a nicer taste.
These are ideal for tucking into a back pack, desk drawer, or night stand for quickly quenching dry lips.
I was irked at the poor packaging which twisted up but refused to twist down.
They left a rather bad taste in my mouth if I licked my lips.
- Anyone who has dry lips that need constant moisture (these have a shiny, melty, moisturizing formula that hydrates dryness well).
- Those wanting a cheap lip balm that travels easily.
- Fans of tucking lip balms in their makeup bag, desk drawer, etc…
- Beauty budgeters!
- Those sensitive to flavored lip products.
- Those impatient with poor packaging details.
I liked these alot but they missed the Muse Approved mark by having a rather strange after taste and the tricky packaging. Aside from these issues I was surprised the formula was so easy to like and thought they nailed it down rather well as it has just the right glide and a nice texture that wears comfortably on lips.
Overall, E.L.F.’s Candied Lip Balms might be one to pop in your cart if you’re a big lip balm kinda girl although issues with packaging and flavor may kill some of your lemmings you still won’t be able to deny the rather nice $3 price tag!
Will you haul them?
